    1. Unsurpassed quality and workmanship. Exceptional rarity. Stunningly beautiful. Ladies & Gentlemen.......... ....................................... I give you Imperial at it's very best!
    2. Good point Jan..... one of my "Evil Twin"'s? "pet-peeves".
    3. I'm sorry, I should have used a better choice of words. Ed's make's me feel like I'm looking into deep, early soviet enamel..... Do you know what I mean? To me, it has a noticeable "depth" and dimension feel/look to it. As opposed to the very "one-dimensional" view of the enamel in the first "example" I posted for comment...
    4. John, I like the additional personal engraving on your example.........
    5. Hi Paul, if you post that first one in "Central Powers"........ one of the Lads could probably quickly ID the 2 Finnish Decorations for you! ;>)
    6. Panzer-Mania abounds again! Well on its' way to $400++++ for this little gem of a card. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...me=STRK:MEWA:IT
    7. ....... I will be the first to admit. Uniforms, helmets, etc....... no working knowledge other than the occassional lucky grab. But even I have to question this helmet insert!
    8. ........ especially when that rose is rose-colored gold. These photos are courtesy of Uwe Bretzendorfer, Deutschland. You can find him here: http://www.bretzendorfer.com/us/us_us.html Yes, I'm making an unsolicited pitch, but it's tough for guys over here to even get a chance to buy one of these so I thought I'd share one of the "sources"...... Great guy... I used to get mail-order lists from him pre-web days!!
    9. Now, I look at Ed's example and feel like I'm looking into real enamel and looking at real patina... not at all like the first one I posted that I said the metal looked strange....... perhaps I'm learning a little.
    10. And that boys 7 girls is yet another wonderful example of "fun"! Thanks to all who helped Colin ID this badge!
    11. Nice! I'm hoping at somepoint we get a member who can actually READ these for us! He/she will certainly be inundated with requests! ;>)
    12. SPM, thanks for adding these details! Well Les, you have a one in ninety shot!! That's a pretty narrow field....... !!
    13. Well the BMVK part is easy...... different classes and it's OK (3./1.) This whole thread just made a bar that someone we all know dearly can't identify a little more interesting......... Oh Evil Twin?.... are you looking at that big flat bar in your case??? Second shelf........? What if that BLUE ribbon is for the W?rttemburg Military Merit Cross!?!?!!!!?
    14. Hi Don, My advice would be to stick to undamaged versions. You'll have to dig a bit both literally and fiscally, but in the end, I'd rather have an example of these without cracked cores...
    15. Hi Les, I see what you're saying, but I think it's the photo..... in hand I'll bet the wear across the mark is a little more visible...
    16. Same with the Friedlander....... usual hinge and (somewhat) delicate pin. You get a deal on "dropped crosses"???
    17. Hi Don, that looks like a classic, near mint KAG EK1 that some unfortunate person dropped......... bummer!
    18. Uh, you don't really want to go there, do you? Think Chaplin's "Littlest Dictator"! ;>)
    19. Well, finite supply, deep pocket investors, anybody who "has" will do very well........... Anybody who "has not".......... Anybody trying to play catch up? Well your areas of pursuit have just been "focused"...... thankfully, it seems that decent combat groups with real research potential behind them seem to be (I know, I know) relatively affordable..... for the moment!
