    1. Award document for a Friedrich August Medal in Bronze on the war band, ca 1903. Over 300- Euro as of this morning. Why is the price so high?
    2. Hi! I’ve seen some utilizing the full neck ribbon and others using a short section of ribbon with buttons or hooks to attach under the collar
    3. Wow! A couple of rather special ones Vince! Thanks for sharing! Love the 60 year button with enamel, first I’ve seen!
    4. Excellent piece Vince and in a very nice original case of issue! I used to have one of these and the Red Eagle medal as well. Both were cased. Unusual and scarce award! Thanks for sharing!
    5. Are we talking about the medals and Spange being copies? Or the orders?
    6. Nice photo, I can’t make out the second ribbon either
    7. Another fake item, eBay is loaded with copies of this very scarce badge and people just bid away on them!
    8. It’s nice to know I’m in good company! Lol!
    9. Komtur!! Now that’s an impressive group! Love having both styles of ribbon bars with mini spanges!
    10. Another fake W 800 PLM from same fake seller Yamahade
    11. Reposting this in our fakes thread, thanks for the assist Lew
    12. I can’t see the WAF thread as I’m special over there (banned for life for disagreeing with Seba) ! How does the double sided one compare in weight and dimensions to the Godet war-time crosses? The details look very good, especially the feet of the eagles. Having recently handled a number of war time crosses from The Traveling Circus I can say Lee’s example is the closest I’ve seen.
    13. Wow! No that’s interesting! I’m loving these 1866 awards, they’re so scarce!! Nice photo and document!
    14. Beautiful crosses Gentlemen and an item I have no knowledge or experience with so it’s really nice to see these examples. They seem much more delicate and detailed as compared to the endless plethora of copies we see. Does anyone have a Meybauer catalog showing these?
    15. Well, they’re getting too darn good at this! I thought it was real based on my memory of ones I used to own. This is what happens when you get old and lose your archives! I’m really glad I’m not in the market for flight badges anymore! Think I’ll stick with St. Henry for now!! Gee whiz!! Thanks Lew for your help!
    16. The GMVK looks like a cast copy to me, in any event, it shouldn’t be on this bar.
    17. To me, both pieces are copies. The details look inconsistent with known original pieces. Sorry!
    18. Another beautiful bar! What is the last medal?
    19. I don’t think the ribbon is 1866, but rather a later add on. No UV reaction but probably a WW1 strip of ribbon. I can’t capture the Rothe mark with my phone, but it’s there.
    20. Wow! Impressive Group!! Thanks for sharing!!
