    1. Let's jazz things up a bit! Post your enamel! Only one rule, piece must pre-date 1920! Aaaannnnnnddddddd away we go!
    2. Hi Heiko, yes, I saw several of these sell for crazy prices. Mind, i'm good with crazy prices, as long as the merchandise is real! here's another beauty. We are seeing either the same maker, or a student, or the seller has a new ID. In any event it's still a bad bar!
    3. By the by, Liaket Medal prices have sky-rocketed this year. You couldn't give them away at $100 about a year ago...... I've watched several nice examples top $200 loose in the last few months. An Imtiaz? If you can find it, way up. I've seen one gold in the last 25 years and it went in excess of 960 Euro! Unfortunately, it would seem the world has been listening. Lurkers & Prowlers are fighting each other with the knowledge they have gained by reading here!!
    4. Another completely obscure, never before seen/handled award comes to light courtesy of "The Twins".... I always get a special thrill when I see something that I've never had the chance to paw over before floats to the surface!!
    5. Ya have to love it, when 25 Years of collecting X2 and no-one's ever actually seen a mounted Reuss statute ribbon. Obscure, arcane these are the goals!!
    6. Well, that's interesting as DR marked his as "sold" almost instantly after his update. Now it's being offered for $850 less than he "sold" it for? My guess is there's probably several of these cases floating about...... The star is a killer though and I have no problem with its' authenticity. Color, materials, workmanship and maker's marks are all consistent with the quality I would expect from Godet
    7. Excellent bar Mike and a tough one to find mounted! Very nice with the maker label as well!
    8. I think the star is fine. The case does not seem to be consistent with period markings for Godet. BTW, I think the price is as outrageous as the one sold by DR @ 1700. I'm sorry, as beautiful as the TWM is, it's not $900 piece, IMO. But a seller may ask any price he sees fit, it is certainly his right to do so.
    9. Awe Geez, the Evil One is technically correct, but 'twould have been better for some newer guys to try and figure this one out first! Told you he was the bad twin!
    10. Yep, fotographic evidence has surfaced of very, very naughty Bavarian Officer wearing not one, not two but THREE grades of the BMVO on one bar!
    11. Drop-Dead, Stone-Cold Gordon. I cannot remember ever seeing a nicer one!
    12. ...... in thinking about this for the last few minutes..... I have never seen a "foreign" award from a German maker/jeweler that had a case titled in the "foreign" language. The cases either have a German language title, abbreviation or nothing at all. But these TWM cases are titled in Arabic........ which of course then comes the next question: If a Turkish maker, why the "Roman" letters for the maker's name stamp???
    13. An excellent thread. Lots of detail and examples. A relatively unknown maker one popped up on eBay, Schneider Brothers-Wein, beg the "Evil One" and he will share the scan we lifted. Never saw this type before. Despite the fact that the piece itself was trashed, it was obviously yet another high-quality enameled piece. Here's the lid of a BB&Co. Cased TWM. No maker marks to the case itself, but the case is titled in Arabic, so perhaps BB&Co. was a Turkish maker!!!!
    14. Yes, but unfortunately I have now split the group. Apparently the only person in the world who cared was me and I can't afford to hold groups of ribbon bars forever. I even offered the group at less than I paid... no takers. The rest will appear on eBay soon.
    15. Nice add and nice clear logo at the top that is not often seen. I would be surprised if they made every single (outside of Prussia) order and decoration. You're talking about a massive expense in tooling, etc. to make (as an example) W?rttemburg Order of The Crown.... for how many pieces they might sell? Dollars to donuts they bought from other "house jewelers"
    16. as much as I'd like to have this one be real, Tony & Kaiser say no way
    17. oh........... that last one with the Danzig Cross? That's at least the 6th one this YEAR
