    1. Thanks Paul/Ulsterman, Yeah I must say the Flath portrait is one of my favorites. While he was not flying crew his job on the ships listed was I believe range finder. That said he was abroad Konigsberg when she was sunk in Norway in 1940 and abroad Prinz Eugen during their successful channel dash. Brieth served with the Kriegsmarine in WW1, just at the end which is why only the Erhenkampfer cross. Also his EK2 was awarded in 1940 when he was temporarily attached to StG 77. I have the balance of the documents for these groups which I'll post in another thread. Thanks for the comments. Jeremy
    2. Feldwebel Wilfried Rockenfeller of 2./Nachtschlachtgruppe 6 and DKiG winner
    3. For our fans of LW Engineer Corp a photo of Oberstingenieur Kurt Breith. Breith was eventually awarded the German Cross in Silver.
    4. Unteroffizer Johannes Flath wearing his High Seas Fleet Badge. Flath served with Bordfliegerstaffel 5/196 and Bordfliegerstaffel 1/196 on board Kreuzer K?nigsberg Kreuzer Prinz Eugen Kreuzer Admiral Scheer Cheers Jeremy
    5. Feldwebel Otto Hesse also of the Nachrichten truppen. Of note on Hesse's ribbon bar are the Spanish awards the Medalla de la Campana (Spanish Campaign Cross) and the Rotes Milit?rverdienstkreuz (Red Military Service Cross). Cheers Jeremy
    6. Oberst Johannes Oehmichen of the Nachrichten truppen. While this is a Soldbuch photo it pins down the name of one of the previously posted portraits. If you look back to post No.113 in this tread there is another image of Oehmichen. Cheers Jeremy
    7. Paul Very nice document and indeed very rare/scarce. Thanks for showing. Jeremy
    8. Hi Kevin, Based on the Feldpostnummer (32471) your Observer is Heinrich Bertsch who served with 4.(H)/Aufklar. Gruppe 23 and was an Oberleutnant at the time of his awarding. This however you may already know. In terms of cost I would expect, based on where it is being sold (i.e. Europe, States etc. ) anywhere between $800-$950. Since B was an Observer and not a pilot this drops the price for many and the fact the he was with a Recon unit vs. Bomber etc. will factor in as well. Personally I like the recon./oberservers so I would pay more if the unit warrants the price. The last DKiG WP I purchased was a few years back to a Stuka pilot and that was about $950 so factoring in a bit of cost increase I think the values above should serve you well. If you get a chance to post additional images of the WP it would be greatly appreciated looks like a nice item. Regards Jeremy
    9. Peter- As promised here is Neumann's document for the KM Minesweeper badge. When time permits I will post the remainder of the documents, under a new topic heading, I have for Neumann.
    10. Haha, indeed I do Peter will post it later this evening when I'm home from work. Cheers Jeremy
    11. EK2 document to Edgar Nemann awarded while serving with 2./Minensuchgruppe 1 "Mausi". Edgar was an observer (beobachter) and was in addition awarded the Kriegsmarine Minesweeper badge.
    12. Another EK2 document this time to Erich Stoffregen, Kampfgeschwader 30, and later RKT (14.08.42).
    13. Francois, Thanks for sharing, very nice and interesting grouping. It is nothworthy to mention that he was an airgunner attached to a Jagdgeschwader. In what capacity did he serve, presumably courier flights, to have him not only awarded both EK's but also all three Transport spange while serving with a fighter unit!?!?!?!?!? Nice items. Jeremy
