Hello Gentlemen, is it possible to identify this officer. His medal bar is showing an unusual combination from medals. I think it is the crown oder from Romania and from the Netherlands the order from the Eichenkrone. Every help appreciated. Regards Andreas

Hallo Alexander, Dein Vorfahre kann die Erinnerungs - Kriegsdenkmünze für 1813 - 1815 OEK 1922 nicht bekommen haben. Die Medaille wurde 1863 an die noch lebenden Kriegsteilnehmer von 1813 - 1815 verliehen. Alle Kämpfer von 1864, 1866 und 1870/71 haben, soweit sie 1897 noch lebten, ein Anrecht auf die Centenarmedaille gehabt. Vom Alter her, Du schreibst 1850 geboren, passt m.M.n. auch alles gut zusammen. In meiner Fotosammlung konnte ich leider kein Foto mit so gerüschter Ordensschnalle finden, mir sind aber Fotos bekannt unter anderem auch hier im Forum. Gruß Andreas

Moin Alexander, zu 1) Kriegsdenkmünze 70 / 71 und Centenarmedaille zu 2) Es sieht aus, als ob das Band " gerüscht " ist, eher unüblich zu 3) in Bronze oder Stahl, ich gehe aber hier von Bronze aus, das Problem bei Deinem Foto ist, dass es nicht besonders scharf ist. Man muß auch bedenken, dass es sich um s/w Fotos handelt, da kommen die Farben anders rüber. Das Band der Centenarmedaille ist ja in Wirklichkeit gelb kommt aber auf den alten Fotos als schwarzer bzw. sehr dunkler Farbton rüber. Hier mal ein kleine Ordensschnalle aus meiner Sammlung zum Vergleich. Die Gefechtsspangen ( Auflagen zur KDM ) mussten vom Träger auf eigene Kosten beschafft werden. Ich hoffe, dass ich Dir weiterhelfen konnte. Viele Grüße Andreas

Hello Gents, today I want to show you a present that Oberbootsmannsmaat Bernhard Steinmann from Luftschiff L4 got for his " successful " paticipation in bombing Kings Lynn on January 19th 1915. It is a cigar - case stamped with Kings Lynn and 19.1.1915 plus mounted Iron Cross mini from 1914.
