    1. Hello Paul, I went through the DOA 04 / 05 with 180 recipients from the AEZ from Hessen and I found only two of them and those two could be exclused because they got other decorations. As You certainly know, You had to pay for every decoration to get mentioned in the DOA. Regards Andreas
    2. Thanks Dave, the first thing we know he was a cavalryman. Closeup from the combat clasp combination
    3. and finally Marine Flak Abteilung 214 dedicated to Baurat Maaß Christmas 1943 Regards Andreas
    4. Hi, from my collection a contribution to this topic 20. Schiffsstammabteilung
    5. Thanks Beau for Your observations. I agree with You that he probably didn´t serve in WW 1, because he was to old, date of birth around 1850. The 1870 / 71 bar combination should fit to the Garde Ulanen Regiment No. 2 if my research was correct, but may be there are other units too. I don´t think that he was military personal after war 1870 / 71 because he only got the Landwehrdienstauszeichnung. It isn´t easy for me because I don´t have access to many award lists or they don´t exist. The only list I have, is the Hessische Ordensliste from 1892 - 1909 and I have tried to find out the non hessian recipients for the allgemeines Ehrenzeichen mit Inschrift für Verdienst there are 176. Then I checked them with the Ordensalmanach 04/05 I could only eliminate two. So until know there are 174 plus some awards after 1909 which list I don´t have. Regards Andreas

    7. Thanks Paul, this is the so - called Goldene Verdienstmedaille des Ordens ( Orden der württembergischen Krone ) OEK - Number 2942 from the Catalog from Jörg Nimmergut. Genuine gold an the current catalog price is approximately 1.000 €. Regards Andreas
    8. Hallo Paul, I want to make a proposal . I think the medal bar belonged to an well decorated senior NCO and I´d like to show You two medal bars with Württemberg decoration. The first is the bar from App Feldwebel - Sergeant at the Schloßgarde Kompanie Stuttgart. Bar numer two is an prussian soldier but on the second position from left You can find the decoration which is missing on Your bar in third position from left. Sorry my english is not good enough for the rest. The cross is the Verdienstkreuz mit Schwertern from Württemberg und durch die Wicklung der Bänder an der Spange kann man die zwei Streifen die auch zum Band gehören leider nicht sehen. Please someone can translate this in english ?! Regards Andreas
    9. The Badge with Vorleben Vorkämpfen seems to be from the Deutsche Volksgruppe in Rumänien. KR Andreas
    10. Thanks, and I know that the straps will be hard to find. In 32 years of collecting I got only this one and a Freikorps uniform Greeting Andreas Andreas
    11. Hello Chip, it doesn´t have markings inside. I don´t think that the straps need a tongue by reason that the straps were sewn into shoulder fissure. I can see the rest from the strap, fieldgrey with red pipe. Is this collar a M10 ? Regards Andreas
    12. Hi Chris, my problem is that I don´t known how they have to look like. If it is 1. GDR I don´t think that the sholder boards have been worn with the lettering from Königin Viktoria !
    13. Is it possible, that it is a tunic from an enlisted men from the 1. Garde - Dragoner - Regiment Königin Viktoria von Großbritannien und Irland ? Best wishes Andreas
