Nice boxes and for a good price. most of them are for different medals The red one with the text is for the Gold medal of the Order of the Crown I used to keep some of the Orders that came without a box, especially the Knight Classes Enjoy them

Yes it is possible If the whole cross is in Gold then the A is not relevant to the material that was used Although most of the Silver Crosses are marked 800 I assumed that the A could be Argenti the Italian for Silver, however it could be the makers. Province mark as well

Those medals were awarded during the Russian Turkish War 1877-1878 During this War Bulgaria was liberated from Turkish Yolk I suppose members with Russian knowledge will translate exactly the text After the War new formed Bulgarian Government requested a medal to be minted in Russia and given to the Bulgarian Volunteers in this War
