    1. Juncker had at least two obverse dies. The pattern that they submitted for approval had thin gun mount legs like the badge that started this thread. The other version has thicker legs like Tom's. You cannot compare the two against each other except for the maker mark on the reverse. I would like to see detailed scans of the operating wheel and front leg mounting connection for a better feel of this badge. On the reverse: I have never seen a reverse plate like this one on a Juncker (or any other) badge. It looks hand snipped to me. And the attaching pins are so thin compared to others that I've seen and held. Also, the all round holes is a new feature to me. Usually only the center two are round. I'd love to see a good scan of the mark.
    2. C'mon Chris, mount it on the '08 and give us a pic.
    3. I am looking for a lager pic of the cutout woundbadge found in the Schickle catalog below. Any verbage dealing with this badge or general construction data from the catalog such as materials used etc... would be greatly welcomed. My email adress is ddoer96635@comcast.net thanks in advance.
    4. Collect whatever pleases you. I have things in my collection that do not fit into any "area" yet when I see them they bring me joy.
    5. I agree. Not having a scanner in this day is just crazy.
    6. I'm just trying to imagine what the guy did to get only these 2 awards. Actually he got no awards if you think about it.
    7. I agree. You'd probably get a more definative answer on WAF.
    8. I don't know but he needs to find a new barber.
    9. What is the ribbon in his tunic button hole? I thought it was for the EK2 but it must be huge then. And where is the outside black lines?
    10. "Yes, this does show high standards. A missing or stiff left thumb was not that severe a handicap for an infantryman in a storm unit, where the P 08 and the grenade were major weapons for enlisted men, and the rifle less so.." A thumb is essential for throwing grenades and shooting a pistol so that would be a major handicap.
    11. Lets see a pic of the front.
    12. Ugly and not believable.
    13. Paul, the ribbon is so tight that the ribbon ring is just slid up in there and jockeied down under the bottom fold.
    14. I've tried to match that reverse set up to a period Assman award and the closest I came was the catch on a 57er EK1.
    15. Thanks Rick for the period documentation. Learning is good.
    16. I'd like to hear some opinions on this one. It blacklights ok. Thanks in advance.
    17. Thanks guys. It was pure luck and I'm glad I did it.
