Are you planning to collect Frauenwerk badges by maker? Frauenschaft badges give a collector and a collection variety of size color and style. Also the womens DAF badges are colorfull. I find it difficult to add any new items at a reasonable price. You are doing well. --dj--Joe

They also came as a stick pin version. As I recall there are some examples with variant sword hilts. Deschler u.s. Munchen I believe is the marking. --dj--Joe

Meister schießen, (master shoot). As opposed to, Meisterzeichen, (masters mark), (masters sign),(makers mark). Perhaps this piece is in reference to the logo of the Ibex on the round target with swas. and the oakleaves and acorns. --dj--Joe

Is there any background on the hollow back brooches? I saw an example for sale but have misplaced the site for the moment. I note they are painted and not enameled. Late war possibly? Are they an alloy base metal? (Located the site, I can't make out the base metal from the images). They are interesting. Do they show up in period catalogs? --dj--Joe

Hi Robert, I must apologize for not having noticed the flash washed out the reverse image. It is in reality gold finish like the obverse. My obverse image doesn't show the true brilliance of the gilt. I've got to work on my photography skills. May start using B&W with written descriptions. --dj--Joe
