All the tinnies posted have been great and I thank every one, but the 1936 Bezirkssportfest Starnberg is a stand out. Benteen, thanks for showing it, it is an eye catcher! --dj--Joe
Have been generously informed that it is in all likely hood, Oberkameradschaftsfuhrer, Gebietsleitung 23, Motor-HJ, Mittelebe (central Elbe). Gebiet = area. Thanks to, Laurence, Raymond and Paulj. Thanks also to all who replied to my questions! --dj--Joe
Located similar devises on post #33 Otto Schickle catalog. http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=6787&st=20 Still in a bit of a fog about the appropriate use of these. --dj--Joe
Would this award be found often, rarely or some where betwixt? I have not run across it mounted on bars to date. I am sure I just overlooked them. --dj--Joe
Jacky, in my incomplete to this point, research. I have 1923 as the date of institution. 1918-1939 as the date of the II Republic . Revived in 1944, from 1952 on the central disc was changed to PRL. I have read it was awarded to foreigners, civilans and soldiers. --dj--Joe
Gentlemen, once again I come before you for assistance. Could some one please surmise how often and under what circumstances the following configuration would occur? Thank you and regards,--dj--Joe [attachmentid=58125]
Wanted to let you know I appreciate being allowed to see the items being posted from collections. I would contribute, however I believe all that I possess have been shown some where within the pages. Current tinnie prices tend to keep me from any further purchases. Please keep showing these most interesting items and know that your efforts are appreciated. If and when I do obtain a new item I will be sure to share. --dj--Joe
Claudio, Sir, my apologies for not replying yesterday. I know how disheartning few or no replys can be. My only excuse is my mind was somewhat preoccupied. Thank you for showing such an outstanding grouping. I must admit I know little of much but I do enjoy learning. Question, on the blue membership document, on the reverse? Is that an advertisment? I wonder if it could be for the firm, HCH TIMM? I have two items marked to this maker but no further knowledge of said maker. Thank you again for showing the grouping. --dj--Joe
Robert, fantastic photos, my thanks for showing them. The knife tossing photo is a stand out along with the bicycle touring photos. Thanks again, --dj--Joe Burgerhaus, it is my understanding that the cap badges came in pin back as you show and also the "safety pin" attachment style. Kevin in Deva, the "safety pin" attachment style membership badge is probably what we see worn on the chest. --dj--Joe
Naxos, thanks for sharing, good looking stick pins. I admire the riders badge pin.
would your DRA pin be marked as my examples below?

For myself this is an unknown configuration without a ribbon. There is no room to my way of thinking for two ribbons to be attached to this stickpin. Even if there was they would rotate. [attachmentid=54749] Has anyone ever noted an award stickpin like this before. I have seen the button hole stud type with ribbons. Checked through all available period catalogs, No Go. --dj--Joe
