    1. I have been asked by Alex (Jaba1914) to post photos of my Marine Pilots and Observers badges. These came from the Forman Collection several years ago. Firstly the Marine Pilot for Seeplanes:
    2. Thanks Dan. Here's another one which is not hallmarked silver and probably the private purchase type. Stan
    3. Here is my Lifesaving medal in it's case of issue. Rim is marked 835PR.M.BLN. Stan
    4. Erich, That's the answer I was expecting. CG is writing the book and SW is providing much of the material. Stan
    5. Erich, Which one? That is indeed strange that two West Coast dealers are writing books on the same subject. If you don't want to mention his name you can always pm me. I know that it isn't SW because he asked me to send some photos to Craig of my Gau Danzig. Thanks. Stan
    6. Erich, Yes, Craig Gottlieb has written the book and borrowed a couple of pictures from me. Stan
    7. Paul, I paid ?535 four years ago for a nice cased one plus ribbon, also marked "835PR.M.BLN." Since then I've seen an uncased sell for ?250. These medals are really quite rare but do not seem very popular with collectors, hence the low prices. Stan
    8. Hi Ranger, I've just opened up the small bakelite clock and have discovered what the problem is. The spring is OK but this metal plate has shattered from metal fatigue and he was unable to replace it. Any suggestions anyone? Stan
    9. Hi John, Thanks for posting that badge. I think it's great when you can link items to a person. In the 1980's I bought an Ehrenpokal from Forman which was an "835" silver version. The date of the award was 31.3.1941 and his name was Oberfeldwebel Lothar Tiekenhenrich and Forman told me it was a Battle of Britain piece. For years and years I tried in vain to get details on this guy until someone on the forum suggested I contact WASt in Berlin so I wrote to them and forgot all about it. Six months later I got the reply that he was in Stab II/KG55 flying Heinkel 111's during the Battle of Britain! I was delighted! Stan
    10. And here's my Bulkhead Clock. I bought this one from Mark Jarrold in 2000 and it's the one shown in Angolia's book "Die Kriegsmarine". The spring has been repaired since I got it and this time the old guy who repaired it (he's 90!) had to get spares from Germany. Stan
    11. Gordon, Is this the type of clock you used to own? I bought this one from Colin Brown for ?85 approx 15 years ago. The diam is approx 70mm. It used to be in good working order but the spring broke and the old guy that fixes my large KM clock (see photo) was unable to get parts so if someone knows where I could get it repaired, please pm me. Yes, its a "Junghans". Stan
    12. Hi Steve, No, he didn't give any more info. I sent him an email in 2000 to enquire if he knew the name of the maker and he simply replied "Otto Meybauer". Stan
    13. I once asked Detlev Niemann what "O.M" stood for and he replied "Otto Meybauer". Stan
    14. Here's my "O.M" which I bought from a small shop in York 25 years ago. I was told that it had been brought in by a farmer who found it in his orchard in the nearby village of Osbaldwick after an Me110 had been shot down and the pilot captured. Stan
    15. Gary, The badge is now in my collection. Here are some scans. I had no idea that it was part of a larger group until John Temple-West directed me to this thread. Stan
    16. John, Many thanks for posting that link. I had absolutely no idea that it was part of a larger group. It seems a pity that it was split up but these things happen. I also bought this badge from Weitze. Stan
    17. Here's a badge I bought a couple of months ago primarily because of the inscription on the back "H. Reitzig/ Fliegerhorst Staaken". It also appears to be an early Juncker as it has the recesses in the wreath to accomodate the wings. Stan
    18. The price was ?27,000 from memory but I can't recall that it was a Zimmermann. I know the guy who bought it and he is very happy with his purchase! Stan
    19. Reverse of the "1923" badge plus the badge in Silver for females. Stan
    20. This is a Gau Baden with it's "1923" bar. I have seen one once before but can't remember where....
