    1. I'm not a scientist so I can't judge if this is technically possible. But maybe it is a genuine result of a combat fight. However, I know for a fact this has been done to increase the value of less rare medals in the past. You said it yourself in the title "rare medal": The only medals I have seen having a bullet hole are campaign medals (the less scarce ones), bravery medals and combat merit medals... Makes you wonder doesn't it? It would be quite easy to shoot a bullet through a perfectly nice medal to increase its scarceness wouldn't it? ;-) Btw, I do have some pictures of medals both bullet holes and I will look them up later to show you.
    2. I think you are right. The '9's look very much alike.
    3. Even though their design is simple, I really like these stars! They are of great historical value as well because of the amount of information which is available about the awardees and their deeds.
    4. Indeed it does. That's why I mentioned I am not sure about its authenticity. The second one however is good.
    5. I would say that any type 1 HSU would be worth Well over $20k An other one which is authentic. (I am not sure about the previous one)
    6. Indeed! Besides, there is apx $25 silver value in those Red Stars so that alone makes Paul's value estimation unrealistic.
    7. Hi all! Any thoughts on this HSU screwplate? It weighs 3.1 gram and has a diameter of 17.89 mm. What material should it be made of? Thanks for your help!
    8. Well another OG2 sold for $1200 on the same auction site a month earlier and that one wasn't even from a full cavalier... But since you're not collecting Societ again... Please tell me where you find those cheap items Wow... If that set is going to sell for that price (or more), the value definitely hasn't gone down... Can you tell me which auction site it is for sale?
    9. Well, I had my doubts as well about the 3rd class but since you are reconfirming my suspicions, I am glad (or better put: a bit less disappointed) about not 'winning' the auction ;-)
    10. Well, it was a close call but I didn't manage to buy this set. In the end it went for $11,135+10%=apx $12,200! Should have bought it at the previous US auction...
    11. PS I'm not able to upload the pictures directly since I am using a IPad... Great stuff apple..;-(
    12. Hi all! I'm new om this forum and I have a question about this converted Order of the Patriotic War 2. What variation is this order and was this way of converting a order usual? Thanks in advance! http://tinyurl.com/cosxprt http://tinyurl.com/bwl8as3 http://tinyurl.com/btdo8uu http://tinyurl.com/897vowz
