    1. I think that this is the only possibility since this lackey retired 4 years before the document was made.
    2. Some more info. This Lackey retired from his service to the court in 1934. Could the unknown word have something to do with him receiving the document years after receiving the medal?
    3. For a lot of Europeans the hammer and sickle stand for a dark time in history with 50 + millions of deaths. I can understand why some people would rather see the hammer and sickle go!

    5. What I find strange is the fact that he got the Belgium award 4 years after his retirement....
    6. The Royal House Archive told me that Beekes served from 1901 untill 1934. After the dead of the Queen Mother several servants received the House Order, beekes wasn't among them.
    7. Why did they receive this order? If I may ask? edit, forgot to use the quote function. I ask this about the friends of Mike who received the Order of Villa Vicosa.
    8. Hi Erik, the source is marktplaats! ps. your inbox is full!
    9. Reminds me of all those imperial german soldiers wearing organisation medals ! http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=17138
    10. May I ask why you are interested in this subject ?
    11. A good website about this subject is www.onderscheidingen.nl from forummember Erik Muller, See: http://onderscheidingen.nl/nl/medailles/konhuis/konhuis.html
    12. Hi Erik, Could you show us some of your collection when you are settled in again ?
    13. From what I can see now he served from 1908 (photo taken as a lackey on age 28) untill 1938 (received the Belgium medal for servants of foreign courts).
    14. This is mister John Snackers, veteran and chairman of the Vomarns ( Vereniging oud Mariniers ). He is also active in a few organisations like the L'?toile du Bien et du M?rite", Interallied Military Organisation Sphinx and the Unie van Nederlandse Veteranen. Most of his decorations are from those organisations. http://www.vomarns.nl/
    15. Thanks for the comments, I also think that he served to short for any other medals/decorations. Here's Beekes in the back (left person) (during a visit to Valkenberg in 1923 ) Does anyone know when he got the medal from Luxembourg? Was there a state visit in those years? I have no documents about this medal. Erik, do you know where I could find the KB about this?
    16. Lippe was rulled in those days (wwI) by the family Lippe-Biesterfeld. Could there be some connection with the Prince who married the Dutch Crown Princess?
    17. It could be a diplomat who was a soldier during ww1, but it is also possible that it was from a Police officer (Police could receive the Mobilisation Medal) in a large city where foreign state visits took place.
    18. Hi Chris, Here it is: 23158 (Mobilmachung-1.1.1940) Regimentsstab Infanterie-Regiment 58, (24.8.1943-5.4.1944) 3.2.1944 Regimentsstab Grenadier-Regiment 58, (6.4.1944-9.11.1944) 13.11.1944 gestrichen.
    19. I recently donated some items to the Royal House Archive and am in contact with the head of that department. I will try to inform about the lists of this medal!
