Hi to all and Hi Rick... hope you are looking down to us. I can confirm, that the person of that pic is RR Fritz Zingler. I could get a jubilee photo of him a few years ago with his signature on the back. It was taken in 1915 - and shows his medal bar without the wound badge. Now i got Ricks photo from the shop of S.Wöschler so i have 2 pics of him. I think it is in good hands. I have never seen a non combatant with an wound badge. It is an absolutely rare pic.

Hi Roman I don`t think he was a Lipper Junge - he is wearing his prussian awards first.

may be a marine guy - a lots of them had the FAK II. and sometimes the 1st class

A prussian member of the Rats or Direktorenklasse. I think there would be a chance to ID this guy with the HDR 1918 or the StHB 1918

Nearly sure, that i got him. In the last 2 days , i`ve read the HDR 1918 3 times. My eyes are still burning. This is one of the 1st Frackbars as i began to collect non combatant´s decorations of Imperial Germany. This beast is killing me. I did a lot of research about it but i cannot ID the wearer till today. I used Siekmann 17, Handbuch d. Deutschen Reiches 1918, the 1914 Ranklist and the Hof und Staatshandbuch 1918 and also the Intendanturliste 1929 Only a few persons had the LDA 1. Klasse of Bayern - but no one had this combination. What do we know about him? No Centenarmedal - so he began his career after 1897 (Did bavarians got the Centenarmedal??) He was a Bavarian higher official or military official, because he got the 1905 JM and the LDA 1 Bayern He did not stay in Bavaria (i think so), because he did not earn the Militärverdienstkreuz/Orden, the Heiliger Michael or the König Ludwig Kreuz (or may be he earned higher grades - Steckkreuze or Halsorden..) The bar was made in 1917 or later (VK für Kriegshilfe) the IC on non combatant ribbon was only awarded till 1921. He has the KO3 (Godet) and the RAO4 (Neuhaus & Sohn) so he must have been a member of the Rats or Direktorenklasse, a Landrat, major or a Regierungspräsident....... I don`t have the lippe rolls of the Kriegsverdienstkreuz am weissen Band. Seems that he died bevor 1935, because of the missing Hindycross (or he did not like it...) Now my question to all research gnomes - could you please help me or make a statement - what do you think about that bar?

The person on the right is Georg Utz. The peoples of his village said, that he must have been a good harp player. My father still has his harp standing in his house. The other two persons are friends of him. If i am right, the person in the middle is his best friend, who survived the war. The person on the left wears the IC ribbon and it seems, that he was Unteroffzier. I bought him some flowers for the graves of the "Unbekannter Soldat". In Erinnerung an Krgfw. /Musketier Georg Utz , RIR 121 - my great grandfathers brother Died on 1st of July 1916 by an MG bullet (head shot) at Beaumont / Somme Hope you died fast. Buried in a mass grave at the frontline. turkish-militaria.com Mr Canbaz has a great collection. The sabers were given for war merit and imo the written date is correct. It looks like a turkish made one. I have 3 bars with a liakat on it. But ask our turkish member Demir. If i am right there are also fakes out there.

Here a few i found at the WAF again. 1st - a 4 place non combatant bar with silesian eagle (the silesian eagle was also awarded to non combatants) 2nd - a 5 place non combatant bar with RAO4 (i think he got it between 1914/18 because he put it bevor the war aid cross) the "green" decoration was missing - there are a lot of possibilities - swedish, persian, brunswick lifesafing and italian. I like the St. Lazarus so i added a knight. I think the decoration was Zurückgeliefert (retourniert) 3rd - a nice bar i traded with Komtur - he was a 1866 combatant and in his old life reactivated in 1914 - have a look at the RAO4 50 (now i have one more 14 NC bar and Komtur has another "Doc" bar) (i think he got the RAO40 50 at the end of his career) 4 th - a big bar i bought from Thies a few years ago. I think there was a KO4 - somebody added a COMedal and i think there could be a DA25 cross and no 15 years LSC. The rest looks not replaced. I tried to find a recipient but who was he? (May be the KO4 was also retourniert - because of its content of gold)

Yes, i am happy, to have one more. In most times you find only gilded ones - bad times (Weimar, III.rd Reich, the first years after the war) - so many of the medals were sold or melted to made a piece of jewellery (Ehering....)

Got a new one today for my collection. It arrived safely from Israel. Thank you very very much to bryansk for that nice piece. The medal bar belonged to an unnamed wuerttemberg soldier (i couldn`t find a pic of him in my database .. ) He got the: IC 2nd class - the core looks like a piece made of Godet Berlin Wuerttemberg golden MMM - it is a so called weimar piece. These were made of gilded bronce. They have no Stempelschneider on it and Mr. Wilhelm has another look on it. He also has the (silbernes) Verdienstkreuz mit Schwerter. This one was made by the Stuttgart mint (all those pieces were not stamped) So earned it in the mid 1916 or later. Only ~ 2300 of them were awarded. The hindycross is stamped G 4 (unknown marker) At the end the 15 years LS Cross made of Tombak. He has the typical combination of an "Vizefeldwebel/etatmässiger Feldwebel or Offizier-Stellvertreter" , and he was still alive in the mid 1930s (hindy cross)

Hi i think it is not a prussian WAC - it could be a Bremen Hanseatic cross.

Got this nice photo - i bought it because of the 1870s veteran - he wears the cross with 25 oaks on it. I like reactivated veterans. unfortunately you cannot see the rest of his decorations. They have red cross armbands with a eagle stamp (stempel) on it. Is that the Vaterländerischer Hilfsdienst? The photo was shot in Berlin (R Sennecke Internationaler Illustrations- Verlag) The medic on the left wears a 2 place medal bar with clasp on it. But which decoration could it be? Sorry i couldn`t scan it better. ....

Got this nice photo of the SMS Victoria Louise crew with a lots of medal bars on it. The person in the front middle - is it Admiral Franz Hipper? He has the russian St. Stanislaus and another order on his neck. What about that asian guy? Is that a chinese or japanese officer? The officer on the left wears the Order of the Double dragon (China) and i believe a belgian or france one.
