    1. That is a distinct possibility. I have a bar with the West Wall medal filling in for the Life Saving medal.
    2. I'm reading a book on Waldeck awards that pictures General Neimeyer's medal bar. Well, Mr. Research, the answer may yet be found in some obscure writings of someone in the Saxon Reserve Jager Battalion 13. OR I may just have to learn to appreciate it for what it is---A very nice medal bar.
    3. Scott, if you're having trouble with picture size send it to me and I will post it for you. Hurry up and get to 50 posts and the problem goes away.

John, thanks for the links. They are most informative.

    6. Stuning display! It doesn't look like you've entirely kicked that Saxon thing of yours.
    7. Your last sentence deserves to be translated into Latin and chiseled into a structure somewhere... :food-smiley-004:
    8. Ah! So that's where the iron crosses grow. Interesting display.
    9. Certainly the service is worth recognition but compare the medal to anything imperial. Really, the troops deserve better.
    10. Handsome bar. By early do you mean buntmetal rather than zinc as the base material?
