I am into antiques in general and we often clear houses. But just like you, I haven't found much militaria until now. And surely no M35 DD... But never the less, greatest part of my collection doesn't come from fairs or dealers... I get most, sometimes from colleagues who do find militaria, my local auction house and flea markets. Best find ever was a couple years ago. Not really militaria related, and found at the local auction house at a very low price. It can be seen her on the forum.

The style is quiet similar, but I couldn't tell you when Belgian uniform makers started making our own uniforms again.

That is a pity...but still foreign made (supposed to be ...) Belgian buttons to me...

Hey Tony, having the outer circle they look more like WWI buttons, but the lion is quiet different of the lion's I have on buttons. So my guess is they are British made.... The bunker is a mess at the moment, not able to check it ....

Still looking for any info regarding the artist; Luli August Sturdza. All I could find so far is; OLD AUGUST STURDZA, painter, graphic artist, decorating artist, was born on January 24, 1922 in Bucharest, as daughter of Elena and Henri August. She graduated from the "Nicolae Grigorescu" Institute of Fine Arts in Bucharest, the 1948 promotion, having as professors Eustatie Stoenescu in painting and Simion Iuca at engraving. In parallel with the plastic arts, he attended the courses of the Faculty of Law. Between 1949 and 1958 he lived in clandestinity. In April 1949 he ran away from home when Securitate came to arrest her. By the end of the 1950s, he had been hiding in various friends - including the Dinescu and Alexandru Paleologu families, where the architect Virgil Antonescu was hiding, always changing his address and leaving the house only at night. Hello, could you tell us how (or small! ;-)) it is, please! It makes me think it could be a German (it is definitely German!!) insignia for colonial troops.
