Not realy antique, or collectible, but it helps when collecting "the stuf"...... I have got a bunch of magnifyers, but what I found this morning at the flee market, is quiet the best! Only need to find out how to get the images to my laptop, tablet or what ever other device...... With a medal you get;

Yes, I have seen them with fellow collectors. I don't mind the "heavy, bulky " but I do like them with a bit more character (sexy!(lol!!))...!

Hey Mervin, couldn't answer sooner! Sorry. One of the control marks are dating from the early 1900. It was never converted, just build as it is, I saddly couldn't find out by who... cheers |<ris

To start with; one that is militaria related! ;-) A German Scheibe Alsbach hand painted porcelain figurine of the Emperor sitting on a chair wearing his favorite uniform of Colonel of Chasseurs à Cheval de la Garde Imperial.I tought it would made a good addition to the collection, for presentation of the St Helena medals I have got at this momment.cheers|<ris

Not sure how they are called in English. In Flemish they are know as table medal... They were generaly made for commemorations, anniversary's,gifts etc....

Don't know how are called these documents in English, but here is a Flemish certificate to someone, for passing the equator in 1947. A commoun ritual on all ships for a long time. I had my parents certificate from 1958 during theyre first trip to Belgian Congo. Thise one was a fleemarket find and came a long with cvile marching order dating from oct.1945. cheer |<ris

I got stroke by the finition under the enamel (spots!)of my latest crown order("x" marked), so I took a pic of all crown orders I have at the momment. They all look quiet different....Feel free to comment, I am willing to learn!
