    1. Here are two photos, i have. A Colonel with an Order of the Badge of Honor, i would guess a flatback. And a Major-General with a Red Banner of Labor
    2. Thanks Volovonok, that´s indeed very helpful.
    3. Oh it looked, like it was oval from the angle. If its for a medal on a ribbon, it could be this one: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jubil%C3%A4ums-Erinnerungsmedaille If its for a coin, then i have no idea honestly.
    4. Hi, my guess is, its for an Austrian Jubilee medal. I found these examples on sixbid: https://www.sixbid.com/browse.html?auction=1297&category=27121&lot=1196758 https://www.sixbid.com/browse.html?auction=1297&category=27121&lot=1196806
    5. Very good, then i will have a nice example for you in the near future. I´ve put it aside for you for now.
    6. No, unfortunately i do not. His Red Star Citation mentions him being "active in public life", whatever that may mean, but no more information about his OOR sadly. I found the old thread with the research, i have to this group: Thanks, Paul! Yeah i allways wondered, what exactly comrade Mukhin did for this OOR.
    7. This is my only Labor group, but its quite neat. Order of the October Revolution, Order of the Red Star, OGPW 1st class 1985 jubilee version, Medal for Victory over Germany, Medal for Meritorious Labor during the Great Patriotic War, Medal Veteran of Labor and the usual Jubilee Medals to Ivan Semenovich Mukhin He served as a private in the war and was wounded several times, which he got his ORS for, awarded pretty late in 1968. The nice thing about this group is, that it includes a photo from the 80ies i suppose and his Party book with an older photo of him. I have the documents to the OOR, ORS and the OGPW, the docs to the medals are sadly missing.
    8. Thank you, Paul. Yes, i still have this one. Its gonna leave me soon probably though. Paul, do you still collect Medical Staff related awards or do i mix you up with someone else?
    9. Nice groups, Paul. I agree with you, the Red Banner of Labor is one of the most beautiful soviet awards. I don´t have very much myself, but i will post, what i have later, when the light is better here for photos. best, Gerd
    10. Wow, what a fantastic group, Ed. Particularly interesting was the Belgrad-Medal document, a variation, i have never seen before. Ferdinand, great specimen, that fisheye is just beautiful Amazing. I guess, posthumous awards are pretty scarce, right? I don´t remember seeing very much of them.
    11. Thats a lovely vaulted original in my opinion.
    12. Thanks everyone for the contributions. Great OGPW´s and amazing stories. Let´s revive this thread. If you have more of these lovely little buggers, please post them here.
    13. I´m sorry to only comment now only ten years later, but this must have been posted right after my departure. Jim, thanks for the pictures. Thats a fantastic collection of OGPW´s and the quality of your pictures is amazing. Thanks for sharing. Gerd
    14. Gentlemen, may i ask you for help with this name please? Thanks Gerd
    15. Yeah i´m patient. Just would be nice to find out a little more about him. There is literally nothing, i could find out beside, what we see here.
    16. No, unfortunately i don´t. My dad was always relucant to speak about Reinhold and i don´t have anything else but this card.
    17. Hi there, i have this document for a XX years RKKA Medal and i´d like to ask for your expertise, Thanks Gerd
    18. Thank you hucks! i found a picture, which probably shows his name on one of the stones, but sadly its cut off at the bottom, right where his name should be.
    19. Hello gents, i am going through the odds and ends of my collection and came across these two badges. Searches on the internet turned nothing up for me unfortunately. Anyone can shed some light on what these are? Thanks Gerd lower photo is backwards sorry. Left one is pinback and the right one is screwback on the upper photo.
    20. Andreas, danke dir vielmals! Now that you mention it, i remember, someone told me already. I´m getting old, i guess... best, Gerd
