    1. Just recieved two new pieces yesterday. The first I picked up her on the sale forum. It's marked WS on the ring, which is then overstamped with Z. Interesting.
    2. Would anyone care to translate that last post into English?
    3. I can't really say. There are alot of diffrent variants of these crosses out there. I have one with a zinc core and another that is said to be a 4 piece stamped construction, and I only have a small collection and never even tried to find those. Anything is possible. I'm sure some of the real knowlegable members will be able to help.
    4. I know. The EK2's I have are looking like a gateway drug to more EK1's. I know that the nicer ones are going to to be harder to find and expensive but looks like I'm hooked. Then there's the 1939 crosses. And all the other items from these wars I collect also.....
    5. He did have one for sale and I think it went for a good price also. Thanks for the comments. I'm feeling better about picking up this piece all the time. Now to find a pillowback version.
    6. Any idea if you can purchase a copy in Canada to avoid duty up from the states?
    7. I really appreciate the comments from those in the know. With so many fakes going around and the prices this stuff costs, it makes you feel alot better when the items are real. I trusted the seller on this , got a fair price and I now have a piece that I'm really happy with. The way I look at some of these items is this: If you wanted a cross like the one I have posted here, where would you go to get one? It's not like a TV or another product. I know they are out there but not that easy to find are they? Each one is unique. Thanks guys!
    8. Here's the rear without the plate, showing the 925 mark. I'm pretty happy with this one. Thanks for looking.
    9. Here's the back with the hardware. The AWS symbol is a little faint but you can see it. Looks good under a glass.
    10. This just arrived. Thought I'd post it for opinions or comments. It's an AWS screwback marked 925 silver content. My first screwback also.
    11. Very interesting! Looks like I did well on that purchase. It came on a run of the mill 2 place medal bar with a Hind Cross. Didn't cost much and when I got it I never thought much of it because I never had many EK's at the time. As I picked up more I realized it was a little different than the others. I love the variety of some of these things.
    12. Rick that is a nice one. Would love a few more of these. I'll keep looking.
    13. There is something differnt about this one for sure. What's the story on 4 piece sheet metal construction? Rare? Authentic? Thanks for the info.
    14. They are one of the best bets in collecting. Still affordable, same construction as any other cross and they look great. I don't think they have the same rate of reproduction as alot of other medals. They are overtaking my 39 EK's my a good bit. So do they all look good?
    15. Almost a year! Where is a good sorce for interesting EK docs? I saw that great one you posted and thought it was unreal. The designs and graphics are so interesting. If you have a bit of time I posted my EK2 collection here and have a number of questions about some of them. Haven't had too many responses. Any chance of looking at even one of them. Thanks, Steve http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=13872
