    1. You must be talking about the L/57 EK2. That was a great find. One you don't see everyday, even as a maker of 1939 EKs. My EK2 collection is getting decent. It's getting harder to find makers I don't have. There's many out there. I appreciate the comments from fellow collectors.
    2. These are suppose to be common but I don't see that many for sale compared to say the KO's. This wide crown variant is suppose to be harder to find also.
    3. Thanks. I've managed to pick up a few nice ones along the way. These are still a decent price and many of them are have a great look to them.
    4. It didn't take long to get a few responses to this cross, unlike my poor old KAG I posted a few days ago
    5. Thanks. CD800's are nice for sure.
    6. And here's the KAG in it's case.
    7. Here's the rear of my second KAG.
    8. Just keeping my ongoing archive of Imperial EK2's going. Here's one I picked up as a cased medal. It turned out to be a KAG, which I already have, but a bonus over unmarked I guess. This cross has a nice dark patina.
    9. Finally, here's the maker mark. As you can see it is upside down for some reason. Is this seen often?
    10. Here's the rear. I like the fat pins on these.
    11. Here's another new one. This is one I've wanted for awhile. It's a CD800, with the CD800 marking all in one line as opposed to the CD being above the 800.
    12. I've picked up a few new items recently which I will be trying to post soon. Here is the first one, an EK1 marked KAG. This is the variant with the wide crown.
    13. Actually there are only a handful of makers of the RK aren't there? And yeah, these things are pricey.
    14. See what I mean on makers 24 and 25! Those names are huge.
    15. I do but it is one of the longest names I have ever seen. I will post a link of the makers in a few minutes.
    16. Decshler & Son have a the number 1. If that's a 26 on that cross it would be claiming to be B H Mayer.
    17. I think what should be kept in mind here is the rarity of 1813 and even 1870 Iron Crosses. There just weren't that many made, especially the first class versions and and 1813s in general. Although nothing is impossible, the chances of real versions showing up on ebay are not great. This area is a minefield, especially fore someone who isn't well versed in the subject. I would suggest someone start with the 1914 series of EKs and go from there. They are not as faked and far more affordable, but you still have to do your homework.
    18. CD always seems to be CD800. It is not a rare maker but one of the nicer ones if you ask me. They make EK1s and EK2s and are listed as an unknown maker.
    19. I know that there was a thread on WAF awhile back concerning an Imperial EK2 that was marked with a 4 on the ring. The concensus was that it was good. I admit it goes against what should be, but who knows?
    20. That first EK2 has awesome patina. All nice crosses.
    21. Great piece. This is one on my immediate wish list. I have the EK2 version, but need a nice EK1. This example will be hard to top. Also, anyone know where I can get a nice KAG EK1? They are said to be common but I don't see too many for sale.
    22. Well, looks like another one to add to the ever growing want list.
    23. Nice. That's one mark I'm still looking for.
    24. I didn't think you would find an L/13 mark on one of these with the early pin.
