    1. Keith, I will try to do a scan tomorrow. The medals are attach via a clip inside the ribbon fold. It was rather easy to attached the medals.
    2. Thanks Rick. Yes, I tend to think the guy was army and not navy. Given that the FA2 was awarded over 63000 times I don't think it will be possible to ID this guy. The published award rolls do not exist. It is a beautiful bar none the less.
    3. Neither of the backing are dark blue. The frack bar has a black back and the other bar has a dark green back. Just for the heck of it I went throught the award rolls for the Waldeck 4th class with swords and looked for Naval officers. I cross referenced that to the 1918 Navy Ranklist. There were only about 5 Navy Officer who were awarded the Waldeck 4th. Of these only 2 are possible candidates. They are: Mu(unlauts over the u)ssel EK2, WVK4X (page 227 of the 1918 NRL) LT. d. R MarInf (2.Matr R) Duisburg (Landwehr District) VII (Army Korp District) Dr. Rube EK2, WVK4X (page 250 of the 1918 NRL) MarOAssArzt d.R.(1.MatrArtR) Lennep (Landwehr District) VII (Army Korp District)
    4. I have scanned through the Waldeck award rolls and the award was given to very few Navy officers. So my quess, based upon award numbers, is that it is Army.
    5. I would like to find the big brother to this ribbon bar, a matching medal bar with the same Godet tag.
    6. Nice little ribbon bar, about 1.5 CM wide. It has a 1914 EK2, FA 2nd Class with spange and Hindenburg with swords. On the reverse is a really nice Godet tag. I could not open the pin all the way so the scan of the Goidet Tag is not the best.
    7. Finally complete. The strike on the St. Henry is really, really, nice. And a very unusual mount, pure saxon.
    8. I am also here. About the only way to get a picture is from the regimental history if there is one. Not all regiments published a history.
    9. Check the rim of the medal for a name. If it is the Langansala medal it should have a name on the rim if it is an issue medal.
    10. I just took a look through the award rolls and most LTs and Captains. No enlisted man.
    11. First up one of my favorite with the Waldeck service cross 4th class with swords, 580 awarded. If the FA rolls ever come to light then this guy will appear.
    12. Altengruber's book on the St. Henry has the silber medallie list with 7972 awarded. I also had a thought on the first bar. It has a Kaiser Centennial and a 1914 EK2....if the guy was a enlisted man where is the long service medal? Could he have been an officer?
    13. Interesting question. I know the award rolls for the St. Henry in silver exist. Do the award rolls for this grade SA Kruez cross exist. Per Rick the first bar may have belonged to a person from IR 103. Maybe Rick can enlighten us.
    14. One of my favority bars with the EK, St. Henry, Baden War Effort, Albert Cross w/swords etc. The bar is for a EM. Are the award numbers known for this Saxon Albert Cross?
    15. If you have a 1902, 03, 04 or 05 German Navy Rangliste please PM me. I would gratefully like to have someone looked up. Thanks.
    16. Igor, the rolls for the 1870 EK do not exist. I think you have all the confirmation that is available.
    17. Thanks. Your translation of the first few word helps tremendously. This is not a memorial it is a grave stone.
    18. I don't recognize any of the writting. There is a small plaque placed on the base of the memorial that has the family name and a date of 1988.
