    1. The only cardboard outer I have is for this lowly Prussian Red Cross 3rd class medal ....
    2. Fantastic find Ralph for sharing with us. I can't quite make out the regiment from the stamp ... what is it?
    3. Thanks Bob, Santa Stoggie is good to us all and it's just like Christmas when you open the arrived packet I know it doesn't look that great, display wise, but I always place my bars on acid free tissue paper, just to be on the safe side. Here's a few more ... but this time with an incomplete 5x Saxon bar at the bottom.
    4. Hmmmmm, I think your right there Rick So maybe you can find some more amongst my small selection of bars. I'm being lazy here .... showing them in the Riker cases I keep them in
    5. Stoggie, truly fantastic .... thanks for posting, the wait was well worth it wub.gif ( sorry for delay in replying to your posts, had a few things to sort out. PM you later) Mike
    6. Yes Evil Twin ... show us all .. Wicked one You are hiding the truth from these young grasshoppers ... Ahhh .... You have a Paybook and more documents ... What an Evil one you are... How could you tempt us so much ... then hold it back. Good Rick R ... these pictures were not even available for the Guru of aviation pics, Neal O'Connor for his books .... These need to be expalained and published for all. Bad Rick ... get your ass in gear
    7. Come on Stogie ... I need input ... more ... more. This is one of the greatest early groupings of photos and documents that hasn't been published that I've ever almost seen. For the sake of us under privileged mortals PLEASE PLEASE show the rest of the grouping. Oh you mean bugger ... stop hidding it from us ... full scans please jumping jumping jumping
    8. Hey Stogie ... could the officer, second from the right in the line be Oswald Boelcke wearing his PLM?
    9. Come on Stogie ... don't keep us waiting ...the suspense is killing me. :speechless-smiley-004: I just noticed the Prussian Observers badge on the front of the grave stone ... can you make a closer scan of it please.
    10. Just a simple, straight forward 2 place Bavarian junior officers bar. Could be he never survived to claim his honour cross?? BMVO4x mm "Gebruder Hemmerle" with the centre Medallions in real gold.
    11. Wow ... fantastic bar Christophe and well worth the 5 attempts to post it. Thanks for sharing with us. Even better Rick, that you are able to pin this down to a possible owner ... your skills and knowledge continue to astound me. Fantastic jumping
    12. Tony, not what I wanted to see ?? ... unfortunately not the shoulder board I thought. I must agree that the jackets worn by these proud gents do not seem to military. It's a puzzle
    13. Paul, It's a shame that the you can't read the name on the reverse of your bar. I must say I've never seen this type of marking before. Here as picture of a sewn on label for a Brunswick bar that I have.
    14. Tony, Hmmm very interesting photo. Any chance of getting a close up of the guy on the right, so we can see his shoulder board? Might give a clue.
    15. Nice one Ralph. Those close up shots are awesome, what camera are you using? This is one award that I'm still looking for, mounted on a bar. So if you get tired of looking after it !!!!
    16. Stogie, it now has a safe and loving home Rick R, my salty Jacob Lesser in original case .... I guess this one was on a bar originally and I agree with you, fantastic quality made award ... the best of the bunch. Obverse shot.
    17. Hi Don, The BMVO4, which was made in silver/enamel was awarded to junior Officer ranks, Leutnant and Hauptmann. The BMVO3 was for higher ranks and was gilded silver/enamel. I am sure Rich Research will be able to provide the exact amounts of these Officer grade awards. All I can say is, Im more than happy to own this beauty.
