Hi Matt, A very pleasant ribbon bar. About the golden swords, they were used for second and first class. I think, and it's only my opinion, that your man received the second class. There is no other Saxon awards. He probably finished the war with the grade of Leutnant of Oberleutnant. He has never served in the Reichswehr (no long service ribbon). So he was recalled during WW2 and probably served behind the front like he has no claps on his iron cross 2nd cl. Christophe

Hi, About this ribbon bar, first we need to see the back. Claudio is right, there is something special about the construction. About the HHO3X, the simple fact that there is no crown with swords is not a problem. there is a lot of example showing that, i.e this ribbon bar of Rittmeister Kurt Klötzer. We need more photos to judge if it is good or not Christophe
