    1. It's interresting to note that von Borries received the Hohenzollern in 1915(23.12) and he didn't wear the crown on the ribbon. He has chosen to wear only the swords. Maybe it's a clue for all ribbon bar with Hohenzollern device with only swords and not swords with crown.
    2. Hi everybody, I found these two photos sunday morning. The first one is the Generalmajor Rudolf von Borries. He received the Pour le M?rite on August, the 4th 1917. He was at the head of the 13. Infanterie Division. Christophe

    5. Hi Werner, Beautiful medal bars. For your post 12, the owner may belonged to I.R. Nr. 133. There are not so many young officer with Saxon trio and Saxe Meiningen cross who survived the war. Christophe
    6. Hi, This ribbon bar is a nice Godet ribbon bar. I'm not a Third Reich specialist (about the eagles and the spange). Seems to be ok but we need the opinion of Rick. The X on the Bavarian ribbon seems to be in bronze, exact or not. It should be in silver. Regards Christophe

He probably worked behind the front and it can explain why he received a non combattant medal If my memory is ok I remember that Dr. Scharfenberg work on Anhalt. He is THE specialist of Anhalt. May be you can write to "Orden une Ehrenzeichen Review" and demand his adress. Christophe

    12. Hi Daniel, Glenn has right. In the beginning of the war Fritz von Selle was Major in I.R. Nr. 95. Ha wore the following medals : RAO4 KO3 HEK3m Kr AB3a SA3am Kr SEK3 PV3. You have got a nice photo too. Regards Christophe

    14. Here is the pic of General (Wolf ?) von Kleinitz. During WW14 he was in the F.A.R. Nr. 84. In the RL from 1925 he was Oberst in Reichswehr. His medal bar contains the following medals : EK2 HHO3X, 24 march 1917 SA3aX, 26 december 1914 EfF Silesian Eagle 2nd class EH3b BrH3 DA CM If someone has more info about him it would be great. He was probably dead before WW2 because I have found nothing from him during WW2 Christophe
