    1. The Order Booklet, nr. A-858239, with entries for the Red Star and the OPWII. Privileges started in November 1943, booklet filled in on 14 May 1947.
    2. Here's a small group of awards, awarded to Guards Private Nikolai Antonovich Vasetsky. The Red Star (replaced enamel on 5 o'clock) arm has been researched. The OPWII has a copper (?) hammer & sickle. Close-up of the Red Star, nr. 398067:
    3. Thanks for that, Christian. Especially the map is interesting. Here is another map I found on http://www.dean.usma.edu , showing the operations on the southern part of the Eastern Front from 17 July to 1 December 1943. It also shows the clash at Krivoi Rog between Rotmistrov's 5th Guards Tank Army and Hube's 1. Panzerarmee, at that time including the Totenkopf Division.
    4. Finally, the Red Star is reunited with his 'family'. It's a beautiful screwpost base piece in excellent condition, just like the OPWII and the Lenin.
    5. Hi Christian, Literally he was a "brigadier of a railroads repair brigade" before the war. After the war he worked as a "crane operator at a fuel depot". Hope this helps, Auke
    6. Maybe the translation of the wartime ARC was filled in in the format of a post-war ARC? The translation doesn't contain information we can't find in the wartime ARC, and the stamp ?For the fights with German invaders? never appears in post-war ARC's.
    7. Yes, it's a nice and not very common medal. I was already following that one in My eBay Please don't bid, I want it
    8. Orders of Maternal Glory 1st, 2nd and 3rd Class and Motherhood Medals 1st and 2nd Class:
    9. A selection of some of my Red Stars, including some with a screwpost base, MZPP's, etc.
    10. It's interesting to see how often there are inconsistencies between the ARC and the citation. I think the oblast is the Fergana Oblast in the east of Uzbekistan.
