Does anyone know why he is wearing the EK 2. (1914) like this? If it is the EK 2. in the first place? He retired on 18.09.1915, so it's quite possible he was awarded this decoration during WW1, can't be confirmed by the Rangliste though. Thanks

I got confirmation that number 6 is Archduke Franz Ferdinand wearing the Kaiserliche Marine uniform. Number 8 is not Anton Haus. It's k.u.k. Vizeadmiral Julius von Ripper. Regarding number 7, I think it's indeed Reinhard Scheer. Notice the rare badge award he is wearing below the medal bar. It's the Offizierskreuz des Königlich Bayerischen Militärverdienstordens.

I have this interesting photo with several admirals. I suspect it might have been taken during a visit of an Austro-Hungarian delegation. 1 Kaiser Wilhelm II. 2 ??? (I'm not sure if he's an admiral, but he looks familiar, can't put a name to the face) 3 Admiral Henning von Holtzendorff (the officer standing behind him seems to be an Austro-Hungarian Army officer) 4 ??? 5 ??? 6 ??? (this is a full Admiral, 3 stripes on the sleeve. It could be a German Admiral or the Austro-Hungarian Archduke Franz Ferdinand, wearing the Kaiserliche Marine uniform. J is NOT Alfred Jodl. Also, I don't think R is Ernst Röhm. First row 4th from the left is Friedrich von Cochenhausen (see photo below for comparison). Note: Around the neck is the Johanniter-Order and NOT the Pour le Merite. First row 5th from the left is Gerd von Rundstedt. First row 7th from the left is Wilhelm Ritter von Leeb.

I strongly believe Number 4 (with the beard) is Char. Vizeadmiral Albert von Seckendorff, who was the Hofmarschall of Prinz Heinrich. Tell me what you think. Some photos of him attached below.

Some time ago I found this interesting photo that shows Generaloberst Curt Haase (2nd from the left) and Admiral Hermann Densch (1st from the right). It was taken during the funeral of Kaiser Wilhelm II in Doorn, on 9 June 1941. The Konteradmiral 2nd from the right is wearing a Kriegsmarine uniform and his identity is unknown to me. Since I mainly research Kriegsmarine admirals I was unable to identify him as a Kriegsmarine Konteradmiral. That's why I think he has to be a Kaiserliche Marine Konteradmiral a.D. who attended Kaiser Wilhelm's funeral and wore a Kriegsmarine uniform. You can notice a long medal bar and also an unknown neck decoration. 1. Does anyone know who this mystery Konteradmiral is? 2. Does anyone know what is the decoration he is wearing around the neck? It could help with the identification. I was told it could be the Kgl. Preuß. Hohenzollern-Kreuz d. Komture mit Schwertern am Ring or Orden der Württembergischen Krone, Komturkreuz mit Schwertern. 3. The badge below his EK 1. is also a mystery. To me it looks like an U-Bootskriegsabzeichen? Or is it something else entirely? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
