    2. Hello: Recipients last name appears to be онищук ( Onishchuk?) Severly wounded on 10.8.43 Citation refers to City of Dunafeldvar Hungary on 25.01.45 I read "repelling enemy counterattacks. Repel enemy attacks knocking out 2 tanks and 1 APC. Also atttacking the enemy and knocking out 6 tanks and 2 APC's. Comrade Onishchuk gained control of the area and repelled hostile counterattacks. I'm still working on filling the holes. I hope this helps with what you have been able to decypher. I'd love to see the award card and the award! Regards Rick

    9. Mondvor: Thank you for your comments about the authenticity of the seal over the photographs. Your comment about the snowflake has got me looking at other areas. Would it also apply to the seal added inside the document on the page where the awards are listed along with the serial number?. I have beem checking various posts to see what they show. I have also checked my two award docs and one clearly show a snowflake not a five pointed star. The other award doc seal around this area is rather less defined but seems to be a snowflake also.     13. Rick: Thank you for your help in translation. To answer your questions : Hp office jet 5510 all in one. Settings are set on enhanced. My maximum upload size is 65k for this forum. The copy of the documents as sent have many areas where the print is light. I will read up on the setting aspects of the scanner to see what might be done. Paul R. Thank you for the welcome.
    14. Rick: I've made the change to jpg. The scans for the citation card are going to be a challenge. The award card scan may usuable. Thank you all the same.
