      I saw this pic and it was titled something like generals etc. blah blah. There was a close up shown of the folks standing in the middle of the photo to help sell it. I found the passenger of the car more interesting. Am I right?

      Haynau, "101" reffers to the beginner class in any subject. It's a cliche that can be used for subjects having nothing to do with school. one could say "I need to take gentleness101" meaning that he needs to learn how to be gentle and that he needs the absolute beginner class because he knows NOTHING about it.

      Hi Ed, I think our best bet is panzerman. He has avery large knowledge of these things. Maybe if we implore him to post pics of Spanish items from both sides he could educate us. Panzerman......pleeeeeeaaaase!

      Really interesting! Gordon, I suspect if this method was used for even a small amount of time that the ribbed beading wire was run through a hand cranked press that flattened the bachside and indented the ribbs in at the same time rather than was cast. Best, Sal

      What seems to be difficult to find out is any awards of the Republican side! I believe this is beacause there were so many semi autonomous groups that comprised the Republican side there was not a lot of "fascist" standardization of uniforms medals etc. Is there a book on this with pics? Anyone have any Republican items? For that matter is there a good book about Falange items? Best, Sal

      You see them on ebay a lot and they look a little crude. There seem to be quite a veriaty of them and I think they were made post SCW too. Maybe Panzerpioneer could give us a breakdown on what they were issued for and when? Best, Sal

      It just finally got cold here Don! I was on the beach through most of November! I Just saw the LCpab yesterday! I drooled turned green with envy whined and cursed my rotten finances. Thank god it was a pal who got it or I would never have been the same merry Christmas to you too! Come visit us again soon! Antti, Thanks for the Christmas card my friend!       Very nice! I have done a few Brit bike restorations myself. I found it fun, frustrating,rewarding and draining to the wallet! In the end the restoration costs way more than finding and buying a perfect example to start with but there is a feeling you can't buy of completing every little detail yourself! Best, Sal
