    1. I have this photo which is connected to the journey to England in 1956. It seems to be a photo on the Cruiser Ordzhonikidze with 1. secretary ZK KPSS Chrustschov and Marshall SU Bulganin. 14.04.1956 The three names of the ships are: - Cruiser Ordzhonikidze - Destroyer Sowershennyi - Destroyer Smotryaschii best regards Andreas
    2. Bifter, there are two variations of the Order of October Revolution. The first variation has 4 rivets (serial number 1 to ~58.000) and the second variation (serial number ~58.000 to ~112.000) has 5 rivets. Orders without rivets are definitely fakes. regards Andrea
    3. Oh sorry, Echoes of War , Researching Soviet military decorations. by Paul J. Schmitt 75 USD , ISBN 0-9656289-1-4 regards Andreas
    4. R?tsel gel?st! What do you think, when was my/the order issued? May/June 1945? Regards Stefan Yes that is possible, but only research will tell. PJS list serial number 662.588 for action in the German - Polisch erea in 06.03.1945 in his book. regards Andreas (Sorry Paul: post edit)
    5. MPZZ is the short form for: Moskau "Platinapribor" Fabrik It is a factory located in Moscow. Due to the raising demand after Red Stars and OGPW?s a second factory started to produce them. MPZZ OGPW?s are a little bit rarer than OGPW?s from other mints. best regards nach Stuttgart Andreas
    6. Oh, an MPZZ production OGPW with 20.000 issued awards. regards Andreas
    7. Hello Paul, I think it is not the original case. They are made for collectors. They are bigger and you can put 20 or more awards in the holes. I saw them somewhere on the internet. I try to find a picture. regards Andreas

Hi, to download the film: I installed the programm "Movie Extractor Scout 2.40a" There are free demos of the programm on the internet In the internet explorer you get an additional button to scan the webside and save the flash video. To play the video you can use the Internet Explorer, but you need adobe makromedia flash plug in. regards Andreas

    10. I think I have found a way to download the movie It looks that it is 18 MB. best regards Andreas

    12. Paddywhack, in this serial number range 490.xxx it could only be a first class OGPW 1985 version. Maybe the gold plating is totally lost. This happens sometimes. Are there any traces of gold plating left? Your serial number looks a little bit blowzy/sloppy made. Compare it with the picture. Are there any traces of polishing around the serial number area? Is there a number before the 4? best regards Andreas
    13. Hi Gerd, that are tooooooooooo much for you. I can help you, I?ll take one...... or two naturally the two first classes you hide in the picture Great looking picture. best regards Andreas
    14. Paddywhack, can you make a picture and post it here. Some of the OGPW?s 2nd class 85 have changed serial numbers. to fit them to groups with missing OGPW?s. 461.xxx is a 1945 OGPW made in Febuary. Another possiblity is that the OGPW was a 1st class 85 and lost its gold, that happen sometimes due to cheap quality. best regards Andreas
    15. looks not soviet to me. Maybe Rum?nien. regards Andreas
