    1. Hello, I have, some years ago, made searches in the ''Moniteur Universel'' about the decorations awarded at the occasion of the Crimea war. I have only noticed these three references concerning the British recipients of French decorations : 1 - Imperial decree of June 16th 1856 published in the Moniteur, July 16th 1856, (two pages with the L?gion d'honneur) ; 2 - Imperial decree of August 16th 1856, published August 24th 1856, with the M?daille Militaire, (one page) ; 3 - Imperial decree of April 3rd 1857, published April 22nd 1857, with the L?gion d'honneur, (about 100 awarded). Nothing, after my knowledge, about a publication July 19th 1856. Regards Michel
    2. Hello, Here is a certificate of OBE awarded to Major Nicolai Izotovich VARCHUK, given January 19th 1944. Ed, do you know tne number of CBE and OBE given to Russian at this occasion? Anticipated thanks Michel
    3. Hello, Caution, the first plaque is an hybrid: an Imperial Princes' Rank and Merit badge (third class) jointed with a plaque belonging to the Republican Order of the Precious Brilliant Golden Grain (Pao- Kuang, Chia-He, Hs?n-Chang, as stamped on the reverse). Not very kosh?r - from my point of view. (I'm not a specialist). Regards Michel.

    8. Hello It's an order for women including foreigners. Created by the Council of State of Cuba the 12 of December of 1979, the Order Ana Betancourt is granted to possessing Cuban citizens of excellent merits or by an extraordinary attitude in the creative work, the defense and the study. Also it can be granted to foreign citizens who stand out in the defense of the revolutionary ideals, the antimperialista fight and by the liberation and independence of the towns . It's a rare order (1st issue small "consejo de estado") The blue ribbon is wrong but such errors are often seen in Cuba (due to the restrictions) Regards Michel
    9. Hello, These are silver gilt stars, not solid gold. I'm also very interested in the results of the Hamburg auction. Regards Cuss
