    3. Hi Ulsterman thanks, that would be great. I am really lookig forward seeing some of the specific awards my relative got for his war-action. He is the closest one in any theater for me, the rest of the family emigrated to Holland around 1875. Can hardly wait for the pics :-) thanks David
    4. Hi Tried that before, 'just' the orders, not the medals I am looking for. Thanks David
    5. Weel, it is something with Minen followed by either K, P, or R (yeah I know.....really helpfull
    6. Hi Steen that's right I am looking for Felix Nikolaevitsch Sumarokow-Elston's careerdetails (I did find him on wikipedia, but there just is not enough info) as well as his Orders and decorations, preferably with awarddate. as well as Generalmajor (last known rank about 1866) von Kanalossy-Lefler. regards and thanks in advance David
    7. Looks great!! Are there a lot of officers depicted? Just Generals or Batailloncommanders as well?
    8. Well I think he is not alone in that and personally feel that there should be more contact on these kind of projects (IMHO mainly via boards like these). So that we are not all doing the same thing in the few 60-80 years we have on this globe. (One of the reasons I choose to do pre 1866 orders and decorations of a country almost forgotten: there is simply nothing on the matter yet) Yeah, I know:
    9. Thanks! This partially fills a hole I had in the career of Georg Emil Theodor M?ldner von M?lnheim, the brother of the Aide-de-Camp to the Crownprince. From his obituary I have that he left his 220 Regiment around Christmas 1917, but his next entry was in May 1918. So know I have narrowed that down a bit!! Great info
    10. Hi Gents I am wondering are there any persons here who could help me out with the biographical data of a couple of russian court-officials (all pre 1871?). It involves a couple of General- and Fl?geladjutante of the Czar as well as 1 or 2 Stallmeisters, the last one mentioned around 1860. Please PM me, as this is a bit of topic I guess. Hope to hear from you David
    11. Hi Hardy Wow From Canada all the way to Karlsruhe! May I ask what your area of interest is there? I am actually looking for some documents depicting the full career of some baden officers. My problem is that they are mentioned in my data as early as 1853 and 1864. From the archival data on the link you send me below, I think they could have them, but I am not sure, one of them says started in 1821, right? I will post the names of the guys I am looking for soon regards David
    12. Hi would there be an expert on Baden Military history who can tell me about the records in the State Archives in Baden? I am Especially interested in pre 1866 career info documents Thanks David
    13. Can confirm the last one, dunno about the first one though The first one doesnt say Stabsarzt but Stabswache
    14. I dont know if this is even slightly possible, but is there data available to look up the dates when persons got their FLE? If so, I would be very interested in knowing how and where Thanks and good night David
    15. I am sure to speak for a lot of us that it is nice to see the guys so important to the research of so many of us!! A big thank you to all of them David
    16. So next to his later first Class? Why was this? Seems odd, 2 grades of the same order to be worn at the same time.
