    1. This li'l group was in the same package Is this the normal ring for this one? It looks like it should take a neck ribbon and my pocket Nimmergut just shows the bare ?se on the swords :banger:
    2. I almost forgot.
    3. I hope someone can read this, cause I can't. And the icing on the cake, a mm I've never seen before. At first I thought it was the mysterious square, but on closer inspection it's a crude 8.
    4. I was lucky to catch someone at the Post Office today so I didn't have to wait til tomorrow afternoon. The studio was R. Dencker, Hamburg
    5. I think I might have posted these before, but they should fit well here, too.
    6. Interesting that a French customs man and a German fireman would be in the Levant.
    7. I have no idea, but the green center stripe says Saschen, unless it's faded cornflower blue
    8. Eric has a good point and looking at it again the crown is a bit angled. I'd suggest you ask for a closeup of the back and an angled shot of the inside edges.
    9. I agree with Chris. KO marks don't have serifs. Th one K I have scanned is 90? to yours.
    10. I thought the oilcloth cap was discontinued before the War and a Kokarde or cross on the state Wappen was used.
    11. From the holes it looks like it might have been nailed to something. Maybe a patriotic box or plaque? What are the dimensions?
    12. It appears to be a 13 on his Schulterklappen, which would make him a member of Kgl. Bayer. 13. Infanterie-Regiment Franz Josef I. Here's a useful link.
    13. Here's a Timm bar on one. Strictly unofficial.
    14. The Randschrift is AUS EROBERTEM GESCH?TZ; from captured arms. micha, I think that's the best example I've ever seen. :jumping:
    15. Great group Could you post the D?ppel and Alsen docs? I've never seen either one.
    16. Great bar. Is that the right precedence for the D?ppel and Alsen? What does the back of Unsere Fritz say?
    17. From what I understand they served no practical purpose other than to make space for the manufacturer's name and date of manufacture. They do add interest, though.
    18. The 15 goes back on the 2 place bar (hook suspension) and hopefully I'll come up with another one for the 5 place.
