    1. The research is finally in for this Order of the Red Star, Nr. 22749. . . Translation will follow. I was just so excited I had to post this!
    2. The pin, hinge and clasp configuration do not match any known originals.
    3. What seems to be unique about both of these examples is the "D" maker mark is stamped on the outside of the ribbon ring. Just an observation. . .
    4. Enlarged and cleaned up, a bit, but out of focus. . . sorry. . . Looks like a "D" to me. . .
    5. Order of Glory, 3rd Class, Nr. 28728, awarded 1944. . .
    6. Here is yet another variant; one piece construction, unmarked, and non-magnetic core.
    7. I will echo the sentiments of my esteemed colleagues, These are original pieces, albeit in rough condition. They really appear to have been there. That being said, if these are being offered with othe other batch you posted, from the individual you mentioned, I too would stay away.
    8. Number 173156, awarded 1943, an (T.4, V5) early variation with a screw post base. . .
    9. Here is my example, and one of the first I obtained, #2246504. . . 2246504 obverse: 2246504 reverse:
    10. I haven't a clue where his other awards could be, but I'm looking. Research is pending, and, as you requested, here is the close-up Lieutenant Boris Ivanovich Olesov's picture, which is really quite striking. . . Rick, is anything else discernable? I appreciate being able to see at all this through your eyes in a manner of speaking. . .
    11. Here is a scan of the stamp on the above page. I suspect this might have been a long service award given it's proximity to another Red Star in my collection, Nr. 896316. As always your assistance is much appreciated, and thank you for looking!
    12. The next page in the Award Book lists this Red Star, and, I suspect, another, Nr. 32343. What other awards/orders are listed?
    13. Here is a scan of the stamp on the above page. What can you tell me about the stamp?
    14. This is the first Award book I have in my collection with a picture of the recipient. What is his name? What rank is he in picture?
    15. Just received this Order of the Red Star, Nr. 886800, with its Award Book, and was wondering if I could get some additional information based on what I'll be posting. First the Red Star itself in excellent condition. . .
