Deumer time again-I bought this one in the hope to get an upgrade....well-it's a nice piece with full paint at the core(just a few "spiders").The maker mark is clearly readable-much better than at my first one.But unfortunately my first one is a bit better! No upgrade Micha
Charles......you are from Arkansas? That's definitely not the place where the iron crosses grow! Ans I also hope you've meant that as a compliment Micha
Well....as long as I can't close the big gaps in my collection -here's a nice Goder with hooks.Sorry for the bad pictures, but my camera is really down now-Time for an epson now Micha
That's a beauty! And the case is the bonus.........From the pictures I can't tell if it's blued or not,but you've got it in your hands to judge! The obverse picture isn't a straight shot so it's a bit difficult to identify the core but it looks like we've got another variation! Here's mine to compare. Micha
Hmm....for me this piece is from the 20/30ies! Typical "Deumer" core (remember the clamshell EKs)-so if the "engraving" was done by the original owner I think that happened after 1918! Micha
I have the same thoughts-on this EK would fit one of these huge round washers! The crossplate, especially with a silver content mark I would expect to find at a Meybauer.here's mine for comparison. Micha
Gentlemen-here's something new from Rottenburg: http://cgi.ebay.de/Nichtkaempfer-oder-Beam...1QQcmdZViewItem Same seller, different account..... http://search.ebay.de/_W0QQsassZmaexle19 Not to forget this account....... http://search.ebay.de/_W0QQsassZcetra2003 Micha
As said at the WAF-that one is really hard to find! KMST EKs with slide attachment are mass production when you campare them to a "Werner" screwback! This one is a killer!! Full score, you can't do it any better! Micha
Here I am......Ben-to answer your question:my L/14 has got a non magnetic core! and you are right,I don't think we get more than half a dozen L/14s together.I think there are two more at the SDA forum..... Micha
Mike, could you post apicture of that stamp? Impossible to find a picture of a "good" one in the net....Also the pictures in the big Nimmergut are not very helpful! Micha
I know only 2 types of cores. The pin here is a bit strange, but I've got a "wide crown" type with the same pin in my collection.Erics statement about the hardware position is correct,it looks like they had no fix rules where to put the catch. Micha Edit: I'm wrong-this is core type Nr.3!!!!!!!!!! It's not the "round one" as I thought at the first view........
