Does anyone have a copy they can post of the LDO (or Luftwaffe) directive that Luftwaffe badges could only be purchased through the Verkaufsabteilung der Luftwaffe? Thanks! Harrier

People would go shopping carrying baskets full of money. If they put the basket down, someone would steal the basket and leave the money. It's fun to look at German postage stamps from the period. A common stamp would be "over-stamped" with the new denomination (maybe 5 million RM). Of course, if the Western world keeps spending its way out of the current economic slump, we may see those stamps again!

Happy to hear from Norway! Are these tailors/stores still in business? I have an Admirals overcoat made in Holland and was able to track down the tailor's son, a dentist in Rotterdam!
