The galley - again compare with Michel's photo of the same area. This sub has been left in the state in which it was found in the 1990's. As you can see, there has been to attempt at restoration, except for the tower.

The tower has been re-built and you can see the effects of the depth charge that sunk her.

I have just looked through the photos of U-boats posted by 2 other members and I am envious. Big contrast with the photos taken in Birkenhead of U534.

Close up of the board giving some basic explanation....it did make me smile....a French tank....in a French museum.....mind you, in their defence, the sign is dated 1993, so a long time ago!
