    1. Hello Paul I have double checked my books, and the pages I found, is correct for my books. The information about the RLM insignia starts at the bottom of page 132, and continues on page 134, in volume one. My books are early editions, so perhaps there might have been some changes to later editions. You will find the information in the chapter "Badges and accoutrements", under "Shoulder strap insignia". All the best Snoopy
    2. Hello Paul I have found information about the metal RLM letters, on page 132 and 134, in volume one of Uniforms and insignia of the Luftwaffe. They are allso mentioned on page 61 in volume two. I hope you have these books. All the best Snoopy
    3. Hello Paul Wow, that's a great tunic. You really have a great tunic collection. I am not an expert, when it comes to trying to find out if it is RLM or construction, so I am going to ask a question instead. If the tunic is RLM, shouldn't there have been the gothic RLM letters on the shoalder boards? Congratulations with the purchase of a wonderful tunic. All the best Snoopy
    4. Hello Great collection, of Iraqi airways items. I especially like both of your pilot's wings. Great design, and quality. I wish that I had some items to contribute to your interesting thread, but the closest I get is a couple of european wings, and a uniform from the Scandinavian Airlines System, and that is not very close. 5. Hello I don't have many imperial medals, but this is my favourite. It was brought back by a norwegian soldier, that served in northern germany, in the imidiate post war years. I am sorry, that the picture is not the best. All the best Snoopy

Hello I really like your Sherman. The paint finish, and your attention to detail, makes it look very realistic. Have you painted the insignia on the tank, or are they decals? They look very realistic. All the best Snoopy
    9. Hello Thanks, glad you like it. All the best Snoopy
    10. The next one, is a model of the Fieseler Storch Fi 156 C-1. It's in 1:72 scale, and made from a Heller kit. The ski under carriage, ski rack under the fuselage and tank, is scratch built. The original aircraft operated in Norway in 1940. It was flown on a mission, along the norwegian/swedish border, and landed by a mistake, on the frozen swedish lake Katterjaure. The aircraft was painted in winther camouflage, with no national markings. The only markings was the letter codes under the wing.
    11. Hello I would like to show you a couple of my models. The first one is 1:48 scale, and made from the Academy kit. It's a model of the Czechoslovakian Avia S-99. The aircraft was based on the fuselage of the Messerschmidt Bf 109 G-14. The fuselage was mated with the Jumo 211 F engine. This resulted in an aircraft that handled so badly, that it acquired the nickname "mule". Snoopy
    12. Hello This is a helmet, that I have in my collection. I believe that it is a MK II. The helmet has an oilskin hood, originally intended against gas. The hood is tucked under the rim of the helmet. These hooded helmets where often used by ww II firemen, since the hood offered protection against sparks and water. These hoods have rarely survived, since they are fragile. Snoopy
