    1. Tom, you have a nice first model Boerger spange. Jim
    2. Hi Jurgen Is the cross marked L/58 and 800 or do you have two crosses? Jim
    3. There is a very good discussion on WAF http://70.87.163.50/forums/showthread.php?t=429755 concerning these crosses. Jim
    4. I want to thank everyone for their comments, they are very much appreciated. I have been collecting/buying for a long time and it wasn't until 4 years ago that I changed my habits (buying everything) to putting this collection together. Jim
    5. EK Schinkels, I thought I had them all but found out I am missing the Juncker - EKI and EKII
    6. I posted this collection as a group in March 09 and have since added to each area an am presenting each style. All of the labels are brass although they look white it is because of the clear label applied. First up - EKI Screwbacks, I have every known one except the L/14 and a couple that are unique (L/19 and field made).
    7. Matt Can you get a better shot of the head? It looks like a Ziemer & Sohn (has a big eye), but would like to confirm with picture. Jim
    8. Look around the edges on the back it shows that it was molded, also should weigh heavier than the original. Jim
    9. In answer to your question, the following makers made EKII spanges without veins: L/18, L/53 and L/56. In the EKI spanges only Mayer made them. Jim
    10. Your spange looks like a cast copy of a Mayer, look at the feet and notice the lack of detail. Now look around the body and you will see what appears to be excess metal, plus the pitting in the medal itself. Mayer made the following types: EKI - Long veins, short viens and no viens EKII - Veing and no veins. Here is a picture of mine with viens. Jim
    11. Hi Chris It is an L/18 Spange, but I don't like it as it is very soft on details. Can you see a maker's mark on the back? Or get a picture of the back? Jim
    12. The whole setup on the back is wrong. There are no known maker marked schinkels. I don't have access to my photos to post a picture of one (I just returned to the States and computer is in transit) but hopefully someone else will chime in. I would not buy this one. Jim
    13. Just received this Deumer EKI Schinkel screw back. It is in fantastic condition. Jim
    14. I haven't attached anything. All of my displays are lay down type. I have contemplated what to do to keep them from moving, but don't have an answer yet. When I get back to the states and more time I will take a serious look at it then. Jim
    15. Naoki, No I don't, I only have a few pin back EKIs. Jim
    16. If you have a copy of "The Iron Time" on page 309 you will see the same envelope. As I said in my first post it has been declared an original. Jim
