Frankly speaking it was just cleaning of national treasures (I do not think that many other Central banks hold something like this, maybe just something extra rare). Also our bankers are not specialists in faleristic issues, the most they had -->just consultation from one of the "gray" dealers (who became main buyer as I understand)...

Definitely not. Mongolbank holds only items (state property) with preciuos metals (gold, silver, platinum). As I was informed some ministry also have some stock of jubilee medals (for example Mongolian CIA has some stock of Khalkhin gol medals with number more then # 60.000) Archives can be found at adminstrative dept of President (who has only right to award orders and medals) or State Archive (what I am planning to do). It would be great if I can find at least a list of awardees by some orders and medals.

Definitely not. Maybe only badges of 15 anniversiary of people's revolution. They have only one Hero star, one+ one marshal's stars, Suhbaatar order with hat (first hero) and samples of other orders (one pcs of each). Person who is responsible for treasure of Mongolbank is my old friend (but she didn't know about my hobby), I am a banker too...

Actually, I can speak, read and write in Mongolian, because I am Mongolian. But frankly speaking I don't have time to translate all 300+ pages of the book. It is possible to make translation here in Mongolia (cost is 7-10$ per page) but who will pay...

To BOB: As I understand, It is not a government publication. But anyway editors did great job. As I understand # of documents is actual # in the book, it means if # of docs and # on the medals are same it is ok. To all other members: I can also send you photoalbum " Khalkhin Gol, 1939" , by Uslyn Publishing House, Ulaan Baatar, 1989 for another 15$ . (you can find reference on the Igor's site). For me send 2 books is easier than one. I will send books first, after receipt please send money by Moneygram/Western Union. Regards

To add some interest, it includes complete information about all Hero of MPR, Labour Hero, "People"s badge (ardyn tsol), and "Merit" holders (gavjyat tsol) up to end of 2006. Total ca 300 pages of information, format A4.

OYUN PUNTSAGIIN /born 1935/.Tuv (central) province, Batsumber sum, Herder of Bayantsogt agricultural cooperative. Worked since 1956 in Batsumber cooperative, since 1970 in Bayantsogt cooperative, was responsible for 22-27 "simmental" cows, produced in average 2646-4018 litr of milk what was 969 l better in compare to state average and 662 l better to compare with Sowietunion average. Her 10 year's milk production plan was executed 123.2 % . State avarga (champion) herder. Member of Parliament, participant of 17th MPRP Conference. Awarded with Suhbaatar and Polar Star order, jubilee medals...

About copy of book - yes i will try. As I understand it was printed in 2007 in Ulaanbaatar, 1000 copies. And of course I will be happy to provide with any information i can get from the book...

Banzragchiin Es /1904-2000/. Dundgobi province Huld soum /smallest admin.unit/. Founding member of 'Talyn tsesteg' cooperative. Participant of 2nd State cooperative conference. Outstanding herder of camels...

Sorry for some mistake in translation... Gombo Sugiin /born 1892 in Zheli province of China/. During Manzh-Go time shifted to Mongolia, and in 1927 started his job at Zhargalant agricultural cooperative of Tuv / Central/ province. Later became senior specialist and since 1956 worked as senior agro-technician. Author of many agricultural techniques adopted for mongolian conditions. New ideas of Gombo created ca 1.5 mio MNT profit / really huge amount!!!/ . As I understand he was 'godfather' for mongolian agriculture...

I got new information about Banzragch Es from book about Heroes of Mongolia (unfortunately in mongolian). I will provide full information tomorrow. She was also awarded by Polar Star order. She was one of pioneers of agricultural cooperative (mostly livestock, - in particular camels). She was from Dundgovj or Dundgobi province.
