:shame: there is no KVK !!! It is a complete Weimar era bar... N? 3 is the Kyffh?user medal, N?4 is the honour legion medal and a silesian eagle is on the bar too.... N? 3 and N?4 as well as the navy medal had to be removed in 1934....

and not to forget.......... with that medal in last place the owner MUST be Navy what makes a very interesting combination with Oldenburg and Sachsen !!!

here is what your last ribbon stands for..... Denkm?nze des Bundes deutscher Marinevereine - a medal for members of navy warrior associations , typical Weimar era award of the 1920s Heiko

your ribbon bar is in pure prussian mounting order - everything ok, for the owner the Mecklenburger was a "foreign" award and came in last place after all his homestate awards...

that is a Landwehr cross at the end - wasn`t this given to Unteroffiziere too???

now that`s cool............. just 10 km away from me there is germanys oldest wineyard - the owner is Prince Michael zu Salm-Salm - his grandmother was a Dalberg and marriaged 1911 the Prince Franz zu Salm-Salm - world is small....

Hello all, it is time for the photograph of the year.............. A former german soldier wearing his german china medal for the boxer uprising 1900/01 in a dutch colonial uniform !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The photographer is from Harderwyk in Holland (?) and on the back is written "Onkel Heinrich in Java" !!!!!!! anyone anything more curious on the desk???? Heiko

Looks like the "Erinnerungsabzeichen f?r Marineflugzeugf?hrer und Beobachter 1916-18 " OEK3284 - very rare piece !!! rememberance badge for navy pilots and observers but please correct me if I am wrong - but it would match with the navy wound badge Heiko

yup.........Le Mans has nothing to do with this medal bar - all the other clasps belong to the Flandernkreuz but it seems to be a put together thing because of the very different condition of the clasps... :unsure:

Hi Rick, unbelievable..................... but you are completely right !!! My grandfather had the same entry in his Wehrpass - Ehrenpreis f?r Schie?en mit Gewehr / honor prize for shooting with rifle ..... AND he had the additional entry Ehrenpreis f?r Schie?en mit Pistole / honor prize for shooting with pistol He started in the Reichswehr in 1927 and was a "long service NCO" .... he had some special entries in his Wehrpass because of his position in the "Abwehr West" .....

....that`s not the problem to get this combination - but it is very rare and some of the bars with this combination are 100% new made... it is the so called iron cross on combattants ribbon for home service this one was given out on the combattant ribbon but it was not for combattant action.... you can proof one of these only in combination with a honour cross without swords or with the award document - there were only the small number of a bit over 1700 of these awarded - nothing against the 5 millions (or billions in english) iron crosses on the regular combattant ribbon.....

..... the man they have got is just one of some.... he is the one where most of the things were found but he was not the lone gangsta.... there are many more behind him or beside him or over him....who knows..... he said nothing during the trial and he did never say "I was it".... seems to be some kind of mafia.... there is no money to get from him because he owes many people a lot of money right now - no chance...... :(

what is really interesting here is.... that a "normal" medal bar in correct mounting order has been changed into a "frack bar" - now in completely wrong mounting order....

.... of course there are fakes from the Braunschweig KVKs around as well!!! You can buy every day a faked 1.class on ebay and the 2.class is around too.... the Omaheke clasp is a type of fake clasp (again - in my eyes it is a faked clasp) that came up in the early 90s - Bernd please correct me if I am wrong.... so it could not have been on there for a long time - that`s what Bernd said... it was 100% added in our times, not 100 years ago....

the picture is of poor quality but in my opinion the Omaheke clasp is a fake....
