    1. sorry, no exact date..... a lot of photos only titled "Spanienreise 1926" pictures from Mallorca, Cadiz, Gibraltar...... here are two more pictures with officers on them...
    2. Can anyone help me with the ID of this high ranking navy officer? He is wearing a huge ribbon bar, a TWM on the breast and a HOHX in the button hole!!! Picture is from Kreuzer Nymphe taken during a journey to spain in 1926!!! Any help is welcome...
    3. and on the reverse of his photos is............................................................his name .............. but I can`t read it 100% his first name is Fritz............but his family name???? any specialists in reading our grand-grand-grandfathers writing out there???
    4. ...........it took me some minutes too to find the castle.... backside was my first thought too... I have some more photos of him as younger man and lower ranked soldier, most of the pictures were taken in Nordhausen , Jena and Erfurt..... Th?ringen!!!
    5. gentlemen, today I have a very interesting but confusing medal bar for you - unfortunately not on my desk, only the photo of the wearer..... look at this mounting precedence with only 2 prussian awards first (EK2 and Centenarmedal), then a saxon war aid cross followed by a Baden Z?hringer Lion with oakleaves but WITHOUT swords!!! After that a W?rtemberger, a Braunschweiger, Hamburg and Austria...last but not least a turkish Liakat that is added to the bar!!! So, in service 1897 but no long service yet...... a confusing mix of peacetime awards, non-combattant awards and combattant awards.... Please give me your comments on the bar, on the mounting of the awards and maybe you have a name for me...?!
    6. I don`t know much about him..... a ebay purchase...the seller sold all his items seperatly, about 30 auctions at all.... medals, documents, ribbon bars, photo album, ID box ..... he was born 1879 in B?hmen and still active in ww1
    7. for Rick........ german china medal for an austrian: Dr.Erns G?rtner KUK doctor of medicine, commander of mobile aid station N?1 He also had french legion of honour, prussian red cross medal 3.class and other awards...
    8. ...... yes Dr.G?rtner and please remember these monster double row bars that were stolen from me over a year ago... during ww1 and the 20s/30s only a Leutnant / Leutnant d.R.
    9. he has bought the two china bars from me some weeks ago..... now they have additional battle clasps and oakleaves...
    10. Rick, I have one..... will send pics on friday when I get back to my files.... Heiko
    11. Hi Rick, maybe my brain is a bit offline....but can you explain this for me... Do you want to say after the Anschluss it was correct to wear a real prussian / Kaiserreich combattant award AFTER an austrian ww1 rememberance medal ( that you could get with sending some nice "I want it..." words to an office...) ??? I never knew that if it is so.... Heiko
    12. if this is a combattant china medal (what it looks like to me...) then it is on the completely wrong place after the austrian....
    13. Christophe, it moved from one good house to another good house.... A lot of fun with your present!!! Heiko
    14. very interesting......................................................BUT............ ......................very strange combination!!! 3 (!!!) combattant awards from smaller german states (sorry Bavaria ) and NO simple prussian iron cross......... ??? Bavarian NCO Mvk and then a Baden officer cross ??? Wrong mounting...... Strange, very strange...............
    15. aaaahhhhhhhhhh your full size ribbon bar on the left side would fit to this group here, very interesting!!!
    16. in my eyes ribbon bar N?2 is not real................... too many mysterious things here.... first NO long service medal, not from ww1 or before and not from the thirties.... and this with active service in two of the flower wars AND service in the RAD (???) Then the combination of ww1 awards..... saxon war aid, Bremen and Lippe ??? I don`t like this bar.....
    17. FORGET IT!!!! the seller name says everything about the bar..........................................................................
    18. You are right if you follow ALL rules............ that means: wartime own state, wartime other states, wartime other countries, peacetime own state, peacetime other states, peacetime other countries.... BUT in my eyes this bar is completely correct if the owner was a proud prussian, because he mounted ALL of his prussian awards in front of anything else.....it`s ok
