    1. Gentlemen, I thank you you both for your research. It certainly makes sense on both accounts. It is a higher quality piece that is stamped 800 on all the metal attachments and would more suitably signify a gift . Tom, it certainly without a doubt looks to be a Zipfel. Anyone else want to give it a go as to what the crest and soldier attachments represent? I thank you again for your time and interest. Regards, Joel
    2. Hello, I thought I'd post another unique item I purchased today. It is what I believe to be, an Imperial German regimental watch fob. Those in the know the floor is your's. Has anyone ever heard of Franz von Stromer or his unit? I thank you in advance for your expertise. Regards, Joel
    3. Wildcard and Hauptman, Thank you for your interest and your very kind words. I just makes me think how an item like this has travelled so far and was found in a little antique shop in New Hampshire. If I could just have psychic abilities to see how it got here and who was the recipient. Regards, Joel
    4. Joe, I thank you for your compliment. The medal bar exhibits a little setback though. The pin holding the Nassau medal has broken off. None the less, it is displayed proudly in my medal case. Regards, Joel
    5. Gentlemen, Hello.. I'd like to post one on my most rare pieces. I know it is pale in comparison to most of your prestigious and beautiful awards. However, I love the the fact that this soldier fought both in the Seven Week's War and the Franco Prussian War. I havent seen many Nassau medals out there. Are they rare? I thank you for your interest. Regards, Joel
    6. Here is the last shot of the back of the holster
    7. Gentlemen, Here are a few more shots of my gun rig trying to utilize more of the natural light and my subpar camera. Regards, Joel
    8. Dan, I thank you for your interest and compliments. I agree. The smalller trigger guard adds that eye appeal element and gives the gun a more "refined" look. Regards, Joel
    9. Paul, give me a shout if you plan on going in the near future and I'll meet you there. Regards, Joel
    10. Paul, I bought this piece and a small Wakizashi sword from a former co-worker and brought back from his step father who was station in the Philippines in 1944. I have since traded the sword for an M35 Luftwaffe Helmet and decided to keep the Nambu. The gun and sword have were just in an old trunk for about 60 plus years. Got to love pleasant surprises. Regards, Joel
    11. Paul, I thank you for your kind words. The gun is even more beautiful in person. I'm very happy I was able to acquire it. Joel
    12. Paul and Hank, I live in Keene, NH. Do either of you go to the Lowell Military Show? Joel

    18. Paul, very nice! I thank you for the thread and hopefully some interest will blossom. Here are a few Pacific Theater Goodies I have obtained. Sorry about the picture quality. I'll work on providing better quality pictures when I have alot more natural light to work with. Thanks again Paul Regards, Joel
    19. Paul, I would love to to see pictures of your Japanese Militaria ensemble some time. I've got a Type 38 Carbine with bayonet and a Low serial numbered Nambu Type 14 Pistol. Sorry once again to stray off course. It seems that they're aren't many Japanese Militaria colletor's in this forum. Joel
    20. Gentlemen, not to stray off course with this, but do any of you collect Japanese Firearms? Joel
