Maybe someone has started manufacturing this type of ribbon bars recently ? I hope Santa bring you nice presents this christmas, a smile, a hug and good health being the best we can wish for , but if he absolutely want to give me a EK I 1870 i don´t mind Merry Christmas all Christer

    15. Ohhps I just realized that I looked at The Princely House of Hohenzollern Well well, now I hav eto wait until someone publish a list of the Royal House Knight orders ..... hmm probably a long wait. Well I hope they will have Internet connnection in Old Folks home too The bar feels good , smells good and of course doesn´t react on blacklight , it don´t have any of the usual bad signs of a fake bar. And since I´ve been collecting since stoneage ..... I´ve seeen quite a lot of fakes. have a nice weekend all , and hopefully you have less snow then me :cat:
    16. Aha, I see that the Flash from my camera make the ribbons look much "worse" than in real life I will scan it tomorrow so the real colours show, it looks very nice , a olive green tab backside marked DRP and 100% not tampered with. This bar has been up on this forum before a couple of years ago , I will see if I can find the old thread I´ll be back :cheeky:
    17. This bar has been out on the forum before, and now I bought it I thought I would give it a try to Id the owner of it Set my right if I´m wrong here , but my thoughts is HOH3X - EK II - LS - Peacetime BMVK ? - Schamburg Lippe Cross for Loyal service Ok , Schamburg Lippe Loyal Service Cross 2174 awarded to Officers hmm a lot of prospects But HOH3X 946 Awarded , somewhat better Then Ludwigsen says in " Prussian and other Imperial German award statisics" that primary candidates for the Lippe Cross was members of the Westpfalian Jäger Btl 7 . The hunt is on and the first suspect is : Lt Frhr Spiegel v.u.z Peckelsheim (I just love that name) He was an Lt 1913 in Westpfalian Jäger Btl 7 and got a HOH3X 26.7.16. A EK II is quite natural but could anyone find out if he had a BMVK or BMVO ? Now I have something to do during the looong vinter evenings in Sweden Christer
    18. Hmm very unusual with Civilian Liberty Crosses 1918 to Germans but not impossible The Following Germans got Liberty Cross without swords 1918 (and I dont have all names) von Kotze Hans Ulrich R W 2nd Class Goldbeck-Löwe Hans A A 2nd Class Bachem Max Arzt 3rd Class Euler Stefan Arzt 3rd Class Oppenheimer Stefan Leut 3rd Class Best regards Christer
    19. I thought I give another puzzle pic Two man on Scharnhorst , I dont know the year but it says on the back IO and there was only four IO during Scharhorst live... 01.1939 - 09.1941: Kapitän zur See Günther Schubert 09.1941 - 03.1942: Fregattenkapitän Hilmar Schroeter 03.1942 - 04.1943: Kapitän zur See Helmuth Gießler 04.1943 - 12.1943: Fregattenkapitän Ernst Dominik The question is , which one is it one the photo ? Both Officers have the HIgh Seas Badge and EK I , EK II , I think the IO also has a 1914 EK II ? any Scharnhorst gurus out there ?? Christer
    20. Wow ! Three ribbons , Fantastic! I had give up before I started with that one Gratulations to a super work ! Christer
    21. Alfred Saalwächter Here is a pic of him , what do you think , have I found my admiral ?
    22. Got this Photo in my mail today , but who is it ? He has EK I 1914 and 1939 and Uboatbadge 1914 , and on the back feldpostnr is for Kreuzer Köln ? Any ideas ? I was thinking about Otto Ciliax but did he has any connection to Köln ? Í have found only 4 German WWII Admirals that had U boat experience during WW I Walter Warzecha Alfred Saalwächter Wilhelm Marschall Otto Ciliax Now I put my bet on Wilhelm Marschall , he was ombord Gnesnau during the invasion of Norway and the seller states that this pic was taken on a big ship in Norweigian waters... or Alfred Saalwächter ? Christer
