And here is a late awarded First class Order, notice the small hanger so called "baby" hanger theese come late 80s I think and not many orders/medals was awarded with this smaller hanger, but you often see loose orders/medals that not have been awarded with this small hanger. Christer -

It not that easy to see on my pictures but the order is made out of at least three pieces 1 the "background" 2 the middle with roundel and text 3 the lion In the first issues the red is enamel I think, but the last issues seems to have plastic instead Christer -

I hope this one haven?t been talked about earlier, I have to admit that I missed that Long service medals for Ministery of Interior had been discussed in another thread by Rick when I showed mine in another thread... But I think theese are new. The Order of Civil Valour and Merit shown in a earlier thread was instituted 1966 so its maybe a suprise that it took 8 years before Military personel got a similar order. 28th of May 1974 the new order was instituted in two classes Gold and Silver. I dont know on what grounds theese orders was awarded but only a total of 8746 pieces was awarded until 1991. Here is the two boxes for I and II class Christer

Wow ! Great Album Peter One of the few ships that had been sunk TWO times...... Super interesting story Christer

Hi Rick ! Lets see now : 1: Army Long Service 18th July 1959 2 different issues 1959-1971 and 1971-1991 2: For the Ministry of Interior personel, 27th August 1960 2 issues 1960-1971 and 1971 -1991 ( + Firemen 1960-1971 only first issue without MVR) 3: Ministery of Interior KDS late 1964 1 issue 1964-1969 4: Construction Corps June 1969 2 issues 1969-1971, (just two years) and 1971-1991 And I just realized that I missed one type completly Nr 2: The Ministery of Interior first issue with old state crest has TWO issues maybe 2a= old crest MVR 2b= old crest M.V.R 2c= Firemen without MVR 2d= new crest Here is pic of the two different issues of the 2a and 2b I hope I didn?t mess it up now.... Christer

And the two rare types at last , I only have one KDS, thats why I choiced to show you 2nd class medals.... The firebrigade version had the MVR on the bottom erased and its quite scarce but the last type with the letters KDS is even more scarce ! And if anyone have a box for a KDS version I would really like to see it (or a document) Now I am going out in the sun, its almost 30 C here in Sweden now som Iam boiled sitting inside with a hot computer Christer
