      Next comparison to hinge. Notice the dimensions remain more or less the same for all these badges:

      Note the shape of the catch and the finishing to the tip of the needle... Also typical trait of Deumer is the gouged-out portion at the centre of the hinge... Here are the comparison's to marked Deumers: First, catch:

      Finally catch and hinge. This is where the association with Deumer comes from. Compare these with the examples from the marked Deumers in the following 2 posts.

      Look a lot like the early slim Juncker but yet not. Similar in design but clearly not the same. This example is very slim!

      You're probably familiar with this pilot badge I'm about to show. It has been identified a a Deumer piece yet it's never found with the maker mark. SO, I dug out some Deumer marked badges and made comparisons.       As Tom has already stated, a well known reproduction. The original F&BL has some features visible from the obverse that help identify it before even looking at the reverse. Those are missing this and on originals the marking differnet to that shown here. Sorry. Rich
