    1. Next up, I have a set of Bundeswehr Luftwaffe tabs(picture, again found on Ebay). As far as I know, these were pretty much universal between all of the ranks. From what I understand, the officer tabs were bullion and piped. The tabs shown, I have seen on Enlisted uniforms.
    2. The next set of East German tabs are for the East German Paratroopers. There were two variations. This set is the latter of the two.(earlier version used litzen like the rest of the Landforces) Here is a set of officers tabs(same for all ranks). The enlisted tabs were the same for all enlisted ranks. The enlisted tabs did not have the metallic piping as these officer tabs do.
    3. All enlisted ranks used these tabs...(again, green tabs were used for the Border Guard Air Wing)
    4. The next set are for the ranks of Lt through Hauptman (please forgive me for using TR rank terms).
    5. Hi... Pics are courtesy of Ebay searching. The next three posts will be of the three East German Luftwaffe tabs. The first covers the ranks of Major to Oberst(Senior Officer rankings). (the actual rank is noted on the shoulder boards) NOTE... there is a green waffenfarbe as well for the Boarder Guard Air Wing. Same ranking system is used with the Border Guard Air Wing and the Air Force. Again, these are for the ranks of Major to Oberst. I have seen an embroidered set on a tunic...ONCE. As an additional note, there was no waffenfarbe in the East German Airforce. No matter what your speciality was, light blue was the color on the tabs and boards.
    6. Gary, Thank you for posting these tabs! I have never before heard of or seen a set of embroidered collar tabs. Are there any others out there? Regards Paul
    7. Although I cannot help you with anything on your quest, I would like to welcome you to the forum!
    8. Hi John, The way I always saw things is that if the photography is that bad, in most cases the seller is trying to cover up details. I am not trying to pass off bad advice, I am just going by what I have experienced. Paul
    9. Here is a photo of the backside of the HG Armour Tabs. Another hint of a bad item, is very bad photography. I notice that there is an officer piping around the tab that is visable on the reverse that is not on the initial frontal view... Whats up with this guy??!!
    10. Thank Joe! I will take a look around today. The pics that are present... are they in color or B&W?
    11. Gerd and Joe, Thank you for your replies. I will look on Ebay for that price guide!
    12. Thank you. Luftwaffe was my quess as well. I find original photos of uniforms with mix-match insignia facinating! I remember seeing an SS tunic with a Heer eagle fixed to the sleeve. The funny thing is that if this uniform were for sale it would be difficult to sell!
    13. There is none... I am really trying to figure out what branch of service this gentleman is in! Heer Breast eagle and LW tabs hmmm
    14. Beautiful Grouping! I do love the Lifesaving/Medical related items!
    15. I was sent this picture today. The question is... Heer or Luftwaffe? Merry Christmas!
    16. I agree with Joe... Those bars are definately unique! All are combinations I have never before seen! Very nice! Could you please post some of your other bars from your area of expertice! I know you have some truely attractive and rare groupings!!!
    17. Very nice WARLORD! Is there a way to get a closeup of the reverse of the 1957 WB with the inscription? Also, is the 20July1944 the real deal? Paul
    18. I dont think so Laurence... I have a huge box full of NVA boards and I have never seen a set like that before. The tongue is way different. Also look closely at the braid... like nothing I have ever seen before. (which boards are you talking about specifically?)
    19. And Finally, my last scan for this awesome thread. Thank you for starting it! Note the different hinge type.
