    1. The wreath is the same Dave. This is the earliest form known. The Para badge was instituted on November 5 1936, so I would say late '36 or early '37. My '1935' was meant to be '1936' - sorry for the confusion. ERIC
    2. Hello Dave, Just "picked it up", huh? Well, I believe you hit the jackpot my friend! It certainly appears to me that you are now in possession of the earliest form (1935) of Pilot Badge known made by the Assmann firm. This is the style with the 'egg shaped' wreath. A very scarce bird indeed! A hearty congratulations!! ERIC
    3. Thanks Marc and Dave for the S&L information! I couldn't remember exactly which maker the circle was attributed to, but thought it was Souval. Could someone post one of the Kriegsmarine Badges which has the circle that Marc refers to? ERIC
    4. Yeah Mark, I concur! I just checked her out real good - blitzen removed by someone who was very talented! I should have inspected this example closer. That might explain the TWO different names inscribed into the reverse - once owned by a RO/AG and passed down to a AG/FE who had a modification made to it. ERIC
    5. Good eyes Scott - I was thinking the same thing when I saw it. ERIC
    6. Here's a zinc unmarked Night Fighter Clasp I picked up locally. Found it almost buried in a showcase of bric-a-brac at a Gun Show of all places. Don't just walk by those cluttered showcases guys, look in them! ERIC
    7. A contribution from my collection: A buntmetall AG/FE manufactured by Juncker. Definately made witout the bolts! ERIC
    8. Great example of a "clover leaf" Pilot Badge Jan! Nice pickup!! ERIC
    9. Here's another recent reproduction I came across. Again, the MM is a dead giveaway. ERIC
    10. Hi Fellows, Here's a pretty good repop of a Flyers Commemorative I found recently. This one could be dangerous to the unknowing. MM is a dead giveaway. ERIC
    11. Fantastic finish on that example Jos - I too would be hard pressed to ever let that one go. ERIC
    12. Do you know if there are there any markings on it at all which would lead you to believe that it may be Luftwaffe related? I like it anyway - I think it would look cool in a Luft display! ERIC
    13. Awesome Flak JTW! Here's another of the same flavor. ( you know this one Marc!)
