    1. Great set!! Its great you have got this guys items all together as such! Perchance have you ever run into any groupings attributed to a He-219 Uhu Nachtjager? TIA and all the best, Jon
    2. Looks really good Marc! Is there a definitive date set for the release of the special edition? TIA and all the best, Jon
    3. Thank you sir! His total kills were 47 victories over about 300 combat missions, 7 of those being from the Legion Kondor. He never got to see the high killing fields of the Ost Front. All the best, Jon
    4. Figured I would post it here as well, have quite a few different things coming in . All the best, Jon
    5. Picked this post card up and it came in today . Very good price considering this gent has been dead since '41, such a waste he was only 29. All the best, Jon
    6. WOW! Great photos! I really like that FJ with the TDB on his sleave! Please if you ever decide to let that set go to please contact me first as I will most definitely buy them up! All the best, Jon
    7. Great shots Kevin!! Thanks for that info Scott, I was under the impression one had to be an officer to be a pilot? Or am I getting the USAF mixed in there? Thanks guys! All the best, Jon
    8. Geez that is beautiful!! Thanks guys for answering that question for me! All the best, Jon
    9. I can only drool when I see these tunics! Beautiful pieces!! A question on the second one, did only H.G. tunics have those sort cuff title bars at the end of the sleaves? TIA and all the best, Jon
    10. Thanks Iraqi! I do believe I have about my whole collection posted on here . The particular helmet you see on the left is a Lufty M.42 SD the one on the right is a WWII Covered Swiss Helm. Heres the link to the Lufty: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=16492&hl= All the best, Jon
    11. Naoki, no Im afraid the items do not belong to the Pilot in the photo, that is simply a great wedding shot I picked up on ebay for really cheap (no one else bid ) that displays the pilots badge really well. Iraqi, if you check my started threads via my profile you can indeed see my other helmets and items! All the best, Jon
    12. James is correct its just a 'smudge' on the photo itself. I thought it was pretty low rank to be a pilot then again given the date I guess its not that surprising they had to churn them out somehow. Thanks guys! All the best, Jon
    13. Picked these up for pretty cheap and quite pleased with them two shots of the same gent who we dont know is a pilot until the second shot . He's next to what I think is an Mg-15 on a tripod for airfield defense? Both pics are dated on the back in blue ink: Mai 1944. All the best, Jon
    14. Thanks much guys! I will definitely have to check out Gunbroker! All the best, Jon
    15. Snapped this of my Pilots display while I was home, I plan to incorporate my Ace and Plane Covered Adlers, signed Aces Photos, and Pilots photos in general but I simply havent got the space at my parents house to do so. All the best, Jon
    16. While I was home I figured I would share my K98k's with you guys here as you appreciate that kind of thing. The first one is a Vet Bring Back ALL matching K98k with no import stamp of course that I scored at a yard sale a few years back. I went yard saling with my mom and Great Aunt and this one place had ABUNCH of collectable things for sale ie old lunch boxes, old model cars etc. So I figured it wouldnt hurt to ask the gent if he had any WWII items stored away since it appeared as a collectors home. He looked at me and goes "Are you serious?" I said yes sir I collect WWII German items. I put his pad down ran over to his wife and said, "Honey, me and this young man are going to be upstairs." So I followed him upstairs, here on the pool table is this rifle, and in a box a Panzer Assault Badge, party flag, Party Banner, etc. I about freaked out, he gave it all too me for a GOOD price as he was tired of looking at it. The second one is my Half Kriegs K98k that my Dad bought me back when I was 15 and got me started into collecting. The floor plate and site hood has been replaced but other than that its all matching. Does anyone know the value of the two in todays market? And also I know the vet bringback has abit of dormant rust on it, is it better to just leave it as is or eventually take it to some one to get rid of that stuff? I would also assume that the 'H' on the stock of the Bringback means Heer correct? Hope you guys enjoy! All the best, Jon
    17. Looks great man! How much did that cost all together if you dont mind my asking?? I would love to have one of these one day! All the best, Jon
    18. Hey guys got this the other day from Rob and I havent been able to show it yet. Its a large and it fits me fine, kinda weird thought putting it on and knowing that a pilot or gunner strapped this item on some 64+ years ago for a mission. All the best, Jon
    19. Thanks guys! I appreciate it! It seems the moving of normal items is the same with militaria as far as newspaper and bubble wrap is concerned just more care LOL. Rick I love the way you write, your style brings a humor to the table that makes your points enjoyable as well as serious to read. I must say that in highschool and even now that I am out of it I do not like the 'party life'. I enjoy a drink every now and then but that is usually by myself in my own room. Thanks guys! All the best, Jon
    20. Well after my first semester in college, I have to admit Ive already got a hankering for my own place, for two reasons mostly: A. I miss having MY stuff and a place to myself, and B. I miss my cat and my militaria etc. I was curious though, what are some pointers for moving militaria? Im sure some of you guys have had to do it before and have learned some things that are definite do's and dont's. TIA and all the best, Jon
