Looks like an escape map-the aircrew maps were more substantial I've got one that covers France and Belgium although I believe in the 50's/60's a company made scarves for the civillian high street market that looked like escape maps and have been sold as such Cheers Perce -

Hi Guys What award is this? -the recipient is WW2 and Post War RAF killed in an accident in 1948- the photo is taken in 1946 so trying to work out if its a foreign/commonwealth award issued for wear by RAF airmen -he was an air gunner- Any ideas?-the IWM stated it may be a Luftwaffe WW1 award (don't think so !!!!!!!!!!!!)-it's being worn on the left hand pocket of the battledress just so you know!!! Hi Paul The Loyal North Lancs in the last picture looks like its been converted to a sweetheart kinda thing-proper clasp pin on the back- the rarer ones are the Recce Corps and the Control Commision Germany and the Royal Flying corps-cavalry and infantry make more than corps units as with all badges condition is everything Cheers Perce
