    1. Wolfgang Robert Schwarz: Schwarz typically used green wool felt for backing their medal bar assemblies and they put a pinking shear cut to both the top and bottom edges of the backing cloth.
    2. Hello John, Great thread you started here. I will add some examples that I have, but some of these may already have been posted. Best regards, Tom Bruno Görlich:
    3. Thank you to all for responding. Dean: I'm glad I spotted this one at the show before you did. Best regards, Tom
    4. Thanks for responding, Paul, Dean and Matt! Police medal bars have always been one of my favorite things to collect. Best regards, Tom
    5. Thank you for responding, Ulsterman, Dean, and Matt. I also saw another nice bar with an RAD Long Service at the SOS: It was an all Third Reich, three-placer consisting of the 1939 KVK2X, RAD 4-Year, and the Westwall Medal. I would have bought it except that it was priced at least a hundred dollars too high. Best regards, Tom
    6. Hello Dean, Very nice Member's Eagle. Thanks for posting that & congratulations! Best regards, Tom
    7. Thanks, Paul! It is always nice to put a face with the name on these document groupings. I wonder what other awards this guy had? Obviously, since he had the EK1 he also had an EK2, but what else did this guy have????? Best regards, Tom
    8. Hello Matt and Paul, Thank you both for your comments. Best regards, Tom
    9. Hey Paul, If you like that one, you will probably appreciate seeing this other JFS Destroyer Badge from my collection. I have had this one since the early 80s and it still retains its original finish. Best regards, Tom
    10. Hello to all, I picked up this Social Welfare Decoration in a recent auction. I never had one of these before but always wanted one. The Decoration came without a ribbon, but I was lucky enough to find an original, full-length ribbon at the SOS this past weekend. The ribbon came with a Godet-marked packet for the Social Welfare Medal. I cut a piece of ribbon to put on my Social Welfare Decoration, plus I now have an extra ribbon and packet to go with one of my Social Welfare Medals. A win-win situation. Best regards, Tom
